Open for Vaccinated: Top Philippine Destinations to Travel to Now

A number of destinations in the Philippines are now relaxing their travel requirements to allow fully vaccinated individuals to enter their borders without the need for a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test. This is based on the IATF-EID Resolution No. 124-5, which cites that fully vaccinated domestic travelers will only need to present their vaccination card for interzonal travel as well as for intrazonal movement.

A fully vaccinated individual is someone who has more than or equal to 2 weeks after having received the second dose in a 2-dose vaccine; or more than or equal to 2 weeks after having received a single-dose vaccine. The vaccine administered must be included in the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) List or Compassionate Special Permit (CSP) issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration or Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Here are some destinations in the Philippines that have announced relaxed travel requirements to allow fully vaccinated domestic travelers: 

Baguio City

Baguio City was one of the first destinations to announce that they are now open for fully vaccinated individuals. Cebu Province

The Province of Cebu* is open to all domestic travelers, regardless if you’re vaccinated or not. They do not require COVID-19 RT-PCR tests either. The province of Cebu is home to pristine beaches and islands, diving spots, adventure activities like canyoneering to Kawasan Falls, historical sites in Lapu-Lapu City, and delectable local cuisine like the famous Cebu Lechon. 

*Cebu City still requires RT-PCR tests as part of their travel requirements

Puerto Galera
