Top things to do in the Philippines
Discover all the adventures you can experience in the Philippines
Go on an adrenaline-pumping water escapade right in southern Cebu with this full-day Badian canyoneering tour and a visit to Moalboal. This canyoneering and island hopping with sardine run experience is the perfect day activity to book if you’re looking to add a bit of a thrill to your stay in the province.
After being picked up within Cebu City or Mactan, you will be taken to Badian for the canyoneering activity. Your guide will orient you first on safety measures to ensure a safe and fun-filled adventure. Expect to have a lot of fun trekking and jumping from as high as a 20-ft cliff down into the river’s cool blue waters.
At the end of the trail, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of Kawasan Falls. Have fun swimming in the wide basin of the three-tiered waterfall, as it has one of the cleanest water in the Philippines. You can also sit by the banks and just soak in the scenery while you enjoy your lunch.
Once you’re done with your meal, you will be driven to the town of Moalboal, where your tour boat will be waiting for you. Once you’ve donned your life jackets, you will head to Pescador Island. Snorkeling is the top activity on the island as its underwater marine paradise is teeming with various tropical fish species and corals.
You will then continue to Turtle Point for a closer look at the gentle sea turtles that frequent the area. Swim with them or take their pictures, but make sure to maintain a safe distance from the creatures so as not to scare them away. You will also get to swim with the million-strong sardines on the Sardine Run experience. To see these gigantic schools of fish swim under and around you is an experience you won't forget.
