Have a great recreational experience in the open waters of Malapascua’s Gato Island, Cebu, through this fun dive activity. This is fitting for seasoned divers who have already earned their Advanced Open Water certification (or an equivalent) because it takes place in open water. You will also have access to basic scuba diving gear and the assistance of a dive master and guide during the two fun dives which last around 60 minutes each. A torch and dive computer are optional add-ons for this tour.
On the day of the dive, head to the Evolution Diving Resort at 5 AM. Before putting on the scuba gear, you will listen to a safety briefing at the resort's dive center. After that, a boat will take you to the diving location for the day. You will share the boat with other divers even if the dive is private.
You will be diving in the waters of Gato Island, a sanctuary and protected breeding ground for the sea krait, a type of sea snake. This island is teeming with nudibranchs, pygmy sea horses, harlequin ghost pipefish, and countless more macro wonders. Gato is a wonder for photographers, which is why it should be photographed twice, once with a macro camera and once with a wide-angle camera setup.
The chosen dive site is hugely affected by the weather and tides of the day. You may, nonetheless, make a specific dive location request, but if the dive master determines that it is not safe on the day of your activity, your request may not be granted
During your dives, you will likely witness white-tip reef sharks swim around as Malapascua’s Gato Island is a natural habitat of this species. Please keep in mind to maintain a safe distance from marine life in order to prevent endangering them and destroying their environment.

Good to know
This is a private session but you are going to share the boat with other divers. This is for experienced divers with Advanced Open Water Certification or equivalent. Torch and dive computer is not yet included but may be booked as an add-on. There are no set itineraries as the dive sites are chosen on the day based on weather, tides and diver requests and experience
Children Friendly: Yes. 15 years old and above with adult supervision are allowed in this activity.
Pet Friendly: No. Please understand that this is for your fur baby's safety.
Senior Citizen/PWD Friendly: This may be a medium to extreme activity so we suggest to consult with your physician before proceeding with your booking.
Meet-up time may vary depending on the itinerary of the boat set to fit the tide and weather. Your contact person will coordinate with you 3 days before your scheduled date for instructions on the time of boat departure from Evolution Diving Resort. To change the meet-up time please request in advance so our operator may check if the itinerary will fit as scheduling will be and additional fee may apply.
The operator may cancel the tour in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or request a full refund. Note that being late by 15-30 minutes without any advice is considered a no-show. Schedule cancellation requests must be made 48 hours before your original subject to approval.
