Description

Spend time in the famous historical and cultural landmarks of Cebu with this day tour complete with roundtrip transfers, entrance fees, complimentary bottled water, and services of a driver-guide. This is perfect for those wanting to go sightseeing in the “Oldest City in the Country”.

After getting picked up by your guide, you will make your way to the first destination, Magellan's Cross. It is one of Cebu City's most well-known historical sites. Many travelers have visited the cross, which is housed in an octagonal pavilion made of adobe and red tiles. It is near the Basilica Minore Del Sto. Nino in front of the Cebu City Hall.

Afterward, you will make your way to Cebu Heritage Monument, a tableau depicting significant events in Cebu City's history. The scenes shown on the monument date from Spain's colonial era in the Philippines until Pedro Calungsod, the Cebuano martyr, was recently beatified as a saint.

You will next visit one of the oldest residences in the Philippines, the Yap-San Diego Ancestral House. It is considered to be the first Chinese house built outside of China. It is a 17th-century structure with a mix of Spanish and Chinese features that was built during the Spanish colonial era.

Next, you will go to Fort San Pedro, located on A. Pigafetta Street in Cebu City. It is the Philippines' oldest and smallest fort and a source of pride for the city.

Head over to Temple of Leah next, a Roman-style monument that's been compared to the Philippines' Taj Mahal. It was built in commemoration of a wealthy Cebu resident's late wife. It has 24 rooms, each with its own library, bar, museum, and gallery. Angels, lions, and gladiators are among the statues that adorn the temple, which are reminiscent of the majestic temples of ancient Greece.

Your last stop for the day is either Sirao Garden, also known as the “Little Amsterdam of Cebu”, or Buwakan ni Alejandra, an expansive garden located on the Cebu Transcentral Highway. Both are home to a diversity of flower plants.

Have fun in Cebu by booking this day tour. Check availability by choosing a date.
