Explore the romantic beauty of the crown jewel of the south with this sightseeing tour on the gorgeous coastal city of Davao. This is a splendid tour opportunity for visitors who want to explore the entirety of the town in just one day.
To begin your trip, your tour vehicle will pick you up at your hotel, then take you to the Lon Wa Buddhist Temple. This temple is adorned by a wall made of Italian marble slab, giving it an aesthetic feel. From there, you will be stopping by the Puentespina Compound before heading to Magsaysay Park, where the Kadayawan village is located. Here, you will see the homes of eleven indigenous tribes and Moro groups, each one standing out with their unique and different architectural styles.
Afterward, you will stop by the Magsaysay Fruitstand to purchase some fruits to take home. You will then have a running tour of Davao Chinatown. Being the only one of its kind in the city, this place is packed with lots of business establishments, including restaurants, banks, as well as Chinese themed malls and shopping centers.
The tour van will take you next to San Pedro Cathedral. It is the city's oldest church and premiere historical landmark. When you get to the cathedral, you will notice the initial carvings of the statues of different saints that have been well-kept inside.
From the church, you will make your way to the building housing the City Council of Davao (Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Davao). Enjoy a quick photo-op here before you are whisked away to the People’s Park. What once a sporting and events venue, the park is now a favorite place of leisure and recreation for the locals.
Within walking distance from the park is the Pasalubong (souvenir) Center, a one-stop-shop for anything Davao-made. Here, you will see a variety of products, from handicrafts to local goodies. A must-visit store in the Pasalubong Center is the Cacao City Center, a one-stop-shop that is sure to satisfy your cravings for chocolate.
Depending on availability, you will also be taken to the Duterte’s House, the residence of President Rodrigo Duterte. While you may not be allowed inside the house itself, you are free to take plenty of photos in front of the building. A short trip away from the President’s residence is the Museo Dabawenyo, where you will learn both the history and the culture of the people of Davao. Here, several locals are featured in the museum, along with the town’s overall culture and traditions. Other places of interest you will be stopping by include the Durian Factory, Jack's Ridge, GAP Farm, Crocodile Park, K'tribu Mindanaon, and Butterfly Museum.
