You will be able to choose your dive sites in El Nido, but note that some sites may not be available in certain weather conditions. Head to Turtle Divers at 8 AM to begin your course. You may also begin at 1 PM, but make sure to coordinate this with the tour operator. This 2-day El Nido Palawan advanced open water diving course is only for divers with experience and certification. It has no final exam but instead consists of 5 specialty courses and focuses on the diver getting experience. The first two courses are mandatory. A Navigation course will help you find your way when you’re exploring underwater. A Peak Buoyancy course will improve your ability to sink, float, or remain neutral.

Once you’ve completed the first two courses, you can choose three more. A Deep Diving course will teach you how to plan deep dives and manage your oxygen supply, a Night Diving course will teach you how to navigate in the dark, and a Fish Identification course will teach you to recognize the different types of fish you see on dives. You can also choose the Computer Diving and Rift Diving courses. Each course you complete can earn you credits toward other certifications.

You have eight El Nido dive sites to choose from: South Miniloc, Twin Rocks, West Entalula, Pagluguban Dive Site, Popolcan Island, Helicopter Reef, Nat Nat Beach, and Address Reef. All of these sites are home to diverse marine life, which will make your diving courses more memorable.

When you are finished with your five specialty courses, you will be able to do advanced open water dives without assistance.

Become an advanced open water diver when you complete this 2-day course in El Nido. Check the availability by choosing a date.
