A private transportation will be available for you and will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Legazpi City. You will travel to the west until you reach a site near the foot of the famous Mayon, which is called Ligñon Hill Nature Park. Atop the hill, you can see the scenic view of the entire Legazpi City, as well as the iconic cone-shaped volcano.
You will descend the hills afterward and move on to your second stop, the Japanese Tunnel. In this part of the tour, you will travel back in time as your tour guide fills you in on the history and stories of the tunnel.
Your next stop is Cagsawa Ruins. Here, you will be able to see the bell tower of the 16th-century Franciscan church, the only remaining structure after the tragic eruption of Mount Mayon in 1814. You will also visit the ruins of Daraga Church erected atop a hill. You will be amazed at the structure’s majestic features and fall in love with the panoramic view it offers.
You will continue the trip with a stop at Legazpi Boulevard. As one of the most picturesque roadsides in the Philippines, this site promises a spectacular vista of the sea and Mayon on the north side. You will be going on a food trip here, eating Bicol Express or Pinangat, two of Bicol’s best dishes, for lunch.
Lastly, you will visit Sumlang Lake, a 9.21-hectare lake full of recreational activities to try, such as kayaking, riding a floating cottage, or fish feeding. It’s a good spot to capture the view of the majestic Mount Mayon.
