Discover all the adventures you can experience in the Philippines
Hop aboard a water and land escapade to Bohol on this private day trip straight from the island of Cebu. If you are done exploring the beauty of Cebu and are looking for an excursion out of the province, then this tour is the perfect tour to book.
After being picked up from your accommodation in Cebu City or Mactan early in the morning, you will head to the port and board a ferry that will take you to Tagbilaran. Once you arrive in Bohol, you will immediately proceed to your first stop: the Blood Compact Shrine. This historical monument portrays the Sandugo ceremony performed in 1565 by chieftain Datu Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. They drank a mixture of their blood and wine as a symbolic act to seal their friendship. It is considered to be the first treaty between the Philippines and Spain.
From the shrine, you will continue to Baclayon Church, the second oldest stone church in the country. This National Cultural Treasure was built using coral stones and more than a million egg whites. You will then be driven to Loboc River for a paddleboarding session. The calm waters of the river are perfect for beginners. No need to worry if you haven't experienced Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) yet as your guide will assist you every step of the way.
Once you are done with the hour-long SUP activity, muster your appetite as you dig into a lunch buffet on the Loboc Floating Restaurant. You will feast on freshly prepared Filipino dishes while the river cruise begins. You will also be entertained with an onboard cultural dance presentation from the locals.
More adventure awaits after you finish lunch and head off to meet the tarsiers at the Tarsier Sanctuary between the towns of Sikatuna and Corella. From there, you will make your way to Sevilla, where the 40-meter long Sipatan Twin Hanging Bridge is located. The bridge is made solely of bamboo slats and held only by steel cables 20 meters above the Loboc River.
Other places of interest you will be dropping by includes the Butterfly Sanctuary and Man-made Forest in Bilar and the Python Sanctuary in Baclayon. Your trip to Bohol will not be complete, as well, without seeing the Chocolate Hills. It can be found in the town of Carmen and features an area with over a thousand limestone hills that turn from green to chocolate-like brown depending on the season. Occupying 50km of land, the hills will be visible as far as the eye can see.
