This trip is ideal for open water PADI-certified divers who like to explore the top diving spots in Moalboal. It also includes roundtrip transfers from Mactan to Moalboal and vice versa.

Nestled on the southwestern tip of Cebu, the beautiful coastal town of Moalboal boasts rich marine biodiversity and an array of underwater wonders. Divers from across the world visit this famous diving spot to witness the magnificent sardine run. Having over 20 world-class dive sites, Moalboal is home to different marine species, including sea turtles and exotic fishes.

Your PADI-certified instructor will supervise you throughout the trip. In this diving package, you will experience 10 fun dives across different marine sanctuaries in Moalboal. You will visit various dive sites, including The Sardine Ball, Airplane Wreck, Sunken Island, Tongo Point Marine Sanctuary, Turtle Marine Sanctuary, Pescador Island, and Ronda Bay Marine Sanctuary. The list of specific dive sites you will visit can vary, and the final itinerary will depend on the weather and the discretion of your dive instructor.

This diving package is for those with an open water dive certification. To sign up, you must be at least 10 years old and in good physical health. You should also bring your open water dive certificate with you.

Before proceeding to your actual dives, you will attend a short briefing session to refresh your diving knowledge and skills. You will also use this time to gear up and prepare your scuba diving equipment. The orientation will be at Cebu Fun Divers, the official dive center of Cebu Seaview Dive Resort.

Day 1
Lecture session by an instructor from Cebu Seaview Dive Resort

Day 1 - Day 1: Check-in + Orientation

Upon arrival, you will check in at Cebu Seaview Dive Resort, where you will be staying in a deluxe room for 7 days and 6 nights. You will attend an orientation at Cebu Fun Divers, the official dive center of Cebu Seaview Dive Resort. Your instructor will facilitate the lecture in which you will know what to expect throughout the trip. Cebu Seaview Resort is a 3-star beachfront resort with over 20 bungalow-type rooms overlooking Panagsama Beach and Tañon Strait. It features premium and modern facilities, including an outdoor infinity pool, seaside restaurant, and a poolside bar by the beach.

Day 2 - Day 2: The Sardine Ball & White Beach Dive

On Day 2, you will take your breakfast before proceeding to your fun dives. Prepare your scuba diving equipment and get ready to take a fun-filled dive adventure to the best diving spots in Moalboal. Your first destination is The Sardine Ball, home to the breathtaking sardine run. It spreads out from 2m to 15m, merging beneath and around you. You may feel overwhelmed as you witness them unfold before your eyes. Up next is White Beach, featuring a dive site with a sandy slope. You can find plenty of marine creatures, flounders, and garden eels toward the reef top.

Day 3 - Day 3: Airplane Wreck & Sunken Island Dive

On your third day of fun dives, you will visit another set of diving spots in Moalboal. It’s time to go wreck diving and practice navigating through strong currents. First, you will explore Airplane Wreck, an American 2-seater plane that became Moalboal’s iconic marine sanctuary. Lancair, a Mactan-based airplane manufacturer, has donated this artificial wreck back in the 1990s. Up next is Sunken Island, an underwater mountain in an open sea. Keep on the lookout for massive creatures like schools of jackfish, batfish, and occasional sharks. Pelagic fishes also swim around the area.

Day 4 - Day 4: Tongo Point Marine Sanctuary &Turtle Marine Sanctuary Dive

On Day 4, you will explore breathtaking marine sanctuaries that boast extensive and vibrant coral reefs. Start your day with a hearty breakfast meal to get your body pumped up for the upcoming dive adventures. Your first destination is Tongo Point Marine Sanctuary, a well-protected area in Moalboal that features stunning coral formations. You can find a wide variety of reef fish, hawksbill sea turtles, and scorpionfishes. If you’re lucky, you can even spot a whale shark. Up next is Turtle Marine Sanctuary, which is among the famous diving spots in Moalboal. Here, you can swim with giant sea turtles.

Day 5 - Day 5: Pescador Island & Ronda Bay Marine Sanctuary Dive

On your 5th day, you will explore the remaining two diving spots in your Moalboal itinerary. You will leave early to prepare for your next set of fun-filled adventure dives. Situated less than 2km away from the Cebu Fun Divers dive shop, Pescador Island is famous for its rich and untouched marine ecosystem. The main point of interest is the Cathedral Cave, where you can swim through 18-meter deep exits. Your 2nd destination is Ronda Bay Marine Sanctuary, also known as Saavedra Marine Sanctuary. There is a good chance that you can have an up-close encounter with blacktip reef sharks.

Day 6 - Day 6: Free Day

On Day 6, you have the option to stay at the resort and enjoy some of its luxurious amenities on-site. You can plunge into the infinity pool or dine at the restaurant by the beach. You can spend your free day exploring the nearby attractions in Moalboal. Go on an island-hopping tour (add-on) or try canyoneering at Kawasan Falls (add-on), which is only 20km away, and a 40-minute tricycle ride from Panagsama Beach. After a fun-filled day, you can lounge on the White Beach, rent a cottage at Lambug Beach, or have a beer at Panagsama Beach while watching the sunset.

Please remember that divers are not allowed to fly for minimum 18 hours from their last dive. It is recommended to have 5 days for the course and 1 day to rest before flying back. Dive schedules are subject to change depending on the weather.
