Description

Spend a 13-day vacation in the Philippines and discover the scenic countryside, islands, and heritage destinations in the country. On this trip, you'll learn about the history and heritage of Manila and Ilocos, explore Bohol's countryside, and see the natural wonders, including islands, in Puerto Princesa and Cebu. This tour package is complete with accommodations, entrance fees, daily breakfast, transportation, and the service of guides.

On the first day, your guide will take you to Intramuros in Manila. It is a walled area showing the city's rich history and culture. In between its walls are colonial houses and grand churches dating back to Spanish colonization.

Besides Manila, the package also includes the province of Ilocos Norte, which is home to the Malacanang of the North. It is a presidential museum that exhibits the life of the 10th Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos. Next, you will head to Ilocos Sur, where the famous cobblestone street, called Calle Crisologo, is located.

You will also get the chance to pick strawberries at the Strawberry Farm in Benguet, as well as hike up Mt. Pinatubo in Tarlac. You will then fly to Bohol to visit the Corella Tarsier Sanctuary and Chocolate Hills, the most famous attraction in the province.

You will proceed to Dumaguete to spend a day on Apo Island, one of the best dive sites in the world. Another natural wonder you will visit is Kawasan Falls in Cebu. Day 1

Day 1 - Day 1: Intramuros Tour

Upon your arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, you will meet your guide, who will drive you straight to your hotel in Manila or along Roxas Boulevard. You will proceed with your tour after you settle in. Your guide will take you to Intramuros, a walled area in Manila declared a National Historical Landmark. One of its main attractions is Fort Santiago. Established in 1593, this defensive fortress has dungeons that were used during World War II. A public square named Plaza Roma will be your second stop. This green space features a statue of Charles IV of Spain. Next, you'll go to Bahay Tsinoy. It is a museum housing a collection of photos, life-sized dioramas of Chinese traders and goldsmiths, and more. The following attraction is Casa Manila, which is also a museum. Here, you'll discover the locals' lifestyle during Spanish colonization. Your guide will then lead you to the southwestern corner of Intramuros to visit San Diego Gardens and Baluarte De San Diego. You will also drop by the San Agustin Church and Museum to see religious sculptures and artwork. Your final stop will be Manila Cathedral, which has a huge organ with 4,500 pipes.

Day 2 - Day 2: Laoag Tour

On Day 2, you will head to Ilocos Norte for a Laoag adventure. After checking out of your Manila hotel, you'll embark on a plane trip from Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Laoag Airport. You will then head to Laoag City via van after you arrive in the province. Your tour in the city will kick off with a visit to St. Williams Cathedral. This religious structure, which was once a wooden chapel, is recognized for its Italian Renaissance architecture. The cathedral is not far from the popular Sinking Bell Tower, which Ilocano artisans built using bricks, molasses, and leaves. You will then make your way to Museo Ilocos Norte to see the comprehensive collection of outfits, ceremonial objects, household utensils, and more that represent the people of Ilocos Norte. Next, you will stop by Aurora Park, where you can find the Tobacco Monopoly Monument. Your guide will take you to the town of Paoay to visit Malacanang of the North, which is a presidential museum. Afterward, you'll proceed to one of the country's Baroque churches, Paoay Church. Before heading to your Laoag hotel, you'll drop by the Marcos Museum, where the memorabilia of late president Ferdinand Marcos are displayed.

Echo Valley in Sagada

Day 3 - Day 3: Sagada Tour

You will have an early departure to the town of Sagada on the third day. Located in Mountain Province, the town has a colder climate than those in lowlands, so remember to pack some warm clothes. It's best to gear up for trekking and spelunking, as well. More than 60 caves lie underneath Sagada, one of which is named Sugong Cave. This natural attraction is well known for the coffins hanging from limestone cliffs. This burial practice is an ancient tradition that locals have been performing for thousands of years. The next attraction in your itinerary is Echo Valley. The place is named as such because of the echo created after people shout. You may choose to hike up the viewpoint to see the hanging coffins from afar, as well as the lush vegetation and limestone mountains surrounding the area. Your guide will then take you to Sumaguing Cave. It is the biggest cave in the town, so the whole spelunking adventure could take two hours. Finally, you will head to the Bontoc Tribal Museum, which exhibits the history and culture of the Ifugao people. You will make your way to your Sagada hotel by the end of the day.

Day 4 - Day 4: Benguet Tour

After checking out of your accommodation in Sagada, you will be on your way to the Province of Benguet, just south of the Mountain Province. Benguet also offers natural attractions, including the Strawberry Farm in the town of La Trinidad. You will have enough time to pick strawberries, which you could take home. You can also buy various strawberry products from nearby stalls. Your guide will next take you to the multiple attractions in the town of Atok, starting with Atok Sakura Flowers. Around 40 Japanese Sakura trees, which come from the Japanese government of Kochi Prefecture, are planted at the park. Next, you will pay a visit to Northern Blossom, a farm where you can admire more various flowers, including roses, sunflowers, snapdragons, dusty millers, cabbage roses, and more. You can also see Mt. Pulag and Mt. Timbak from a distance. Afterward, you'll head to the 2nd Highest Point along the Halsema Highway. This spot is situated 7,400 feet above sea level, so you get to enjoy a splendid view of the mountain ranges, vegetable farms, and a sea of clouds. You will then stop by the Spanish Trail before traveling to your hotel in Baguio City.

Day 5 - Day 5: Mt. Pinatubo Tour

On Day 5, you will leave Baguio and travel to the south toward Mt. Pinatubo. This active stratovolcano is set on the borders of three provinces: Tarlac, Pampanga, and Zambales. Back in 1991, it caused a disastrous eruption, and its effects were felt across the globe. You will head straight to Tarlac, where the Sta. Juliana Tourism Center is located. From there, your 4x4 jeepney will take you across Crow Valley. The terrain can get bumpy and dusty as the 1991 eruption brought about a rocky and lahar-covered area. Once you get to the mountain's base, it will be time for you to go up the volcano on foot. It usually takes one to 1.5 hours to reach the end of the trail, but even beginners can finish the trek. On top of Mt. Pinatubo, you get to see its marvelous Crater Lake that boasts calm turquoise waters. You get to enjoy your lunch while staring at the breathtaking view of the lake. Pose for some pictures with volcano's Crater Lake as your beautiful backdrop before heading back to the tourism center. Your guide will then drive you to your accommodation in Manila around the Baywalk area.

Day 6 - Day 6: Bohol Countryside Tour

In the morning, you'll check out of your Manila hotel and make your way to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Here you will ride a plane heading to the Province of Bohol. You will arrive at Panglao International Airport after a short trip. Your tour for this day will showcase the natural beauty of Bohol's countryside. Your guide will take you to the Corella Tarsier Sanctuary first. From its name, you can expect the place to be filled with tarsiers. Make sure to turn off the flash of your camera before taking photographs. The pristine Loboc River comes next. To better see the beauty of the area, you'll ride a floating restaurant and embark on a Loboc River Cruise. You can feast on different Filipino dishes, while some locals present Filipino songs and dances. Once you return to shore, your guide will drive you to Baclayon Church, a stone church with a crystal chandelier and life-sized statues. You will also visit the Butterfly Conservatory, where you can delight in various species of butterflies. The last two stops of your tour will be the Bilar Forest and the world-famous Chocolate Hills. On Day 7, you'll sail to the middle of the Bohol Sea for some fun on the paradisiac Pamilacan Island. It is a go-to destination for dolphin and whale-watching. You might see these sea creatures during the boat ride, so better keep your eyes on the water. Pamilacan Island boasts a natural beauty that involves clear blue waters and white-sand beaches. It also hosts many living corals located just a few meters from the shore. You can go snorkeling if you wish to see the beautiful corals. You may even encounter sea turtles, bucket sponges, and an array of fish while underwater. The island is also known for its excellent diving spots, where you can get your adrenaline rushing. You may also go for a stroll around the small community on Pamilacan Island. Approximately 2,000 locals inhabit the place, and they form only 240 families. You may proceed to the northeast side of the place, where you can find a ruined Spanish fort. This 200-year-old structure, which is now a National Cultural Treasure, served as a watchtower where Spaniards looked out for Moro pirates. By the end of the day, you will return to your Panglao accommodation.

Apo Island in Bohol

Day 8 - Day 8: Apo Island Tour

On the eighth day, you'll travel to Dumaguete, the capital of Negros Oriental. Your guide will drive you from your Panglao hotel to a port where you'll ride a ferry. Once you get to the city, you'll make your way to Malatapay Boat Terminal and board a boat to Apo Island. Apo Island is one of the top destinations in Dumaguete. It is well-known among local and international visitors who want to escape the bustling city and get closer to nature. Once your boat docks on the island, your guide will take you to the spot where turtles reside. Put your snorkeling gears on and jump into the water to swim with these sea creatures. You can also snorkel around the coral gardens and spot a myriad of colorful fish. Feel free to laze on the beach and enjoy a sweeping view of the sea. You may also head up to Apo View Deck or Apo Island Lighthouse. You can also choose to take one trail among Habagat Eco-Trail, David's Trek, and Witchy's Trail and reward yourself with a panoramic view of the island of Negros. Before dark, you'll head back to the mainland and travel to your Dumaguete hotel.

Day 9 - Day 9: Kawasan Falls and Moalboal Sardine Run Tour

You will check out of your accommodation and travel to Cebu via ferry. Upon reaching the port, your guide will drive you to the town of Badian to visit Kawasan Falls. A total of three waterfalls make up this attraction, the first one being the largest and most visited. Dip into the cold natural waters and take as many photos as you want before heading to Moalboal. Moalboal is a coastal town famous for its many white-sand beaches and beautiful corals. Off the coast are several islands, which you will visit next. You will go on a 30-minute boat ride to Pescador Island. Under the island's cobalt blue waters are corals of different colors and types. After checking out the gorgeous corals, you will proceed to Turtle Point. Here, you get to observe sea turtles up close. Your guide will then take you back to mainland Cebu for the last leg of your tour. You will go to Panagsama Beach to see the popular sardine run. Wearing your snorkeling gears, you will swim with more than a million sardines that can block out the light from the sun. Afterward, you will be on your way to your Argao hotel.

Day 10 - Day 10: Cebu City Tour

The tenth day of your tour package will take place in Cebu City, also known as the Queen City of the South. As the oldest city in the Philippines, the area is home to several historic sites, including the Taoist Temple. It was built on top of a hill in 1972 and featured a chapel, library, a souvenir shop, and a wishing well. Next, you will visit the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the country, named Basilica Minore Del Santo Nino. Founded in 1565, the church boasts a façade with a mix of neo-classical, Romanesque, and Muslim features. You will proceed to Magellan's Cross, which is erected outside the basilica. Your guide will drive you to the Heritage of Cebu Monument afterward. It represents the major historical events that occurred in the city. Next, you will visit Yap-San Diego Ancestral Home, one of the Philippines' oldest houses. You will then head to the mountains toward the Temple of Leah, which offers a Roman-inspired architectural shrine and an astounding view of Cebu. Day 11 - Day 11: Puerto Princesa Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour

From your accommodation in Mandaue, you will travel to Mactan-Cebu International Airport, where you'll take a flight to Puerto Princesa International Airport in Palawan. Your tour for today will take you to the beautiful islands in Honda Bay, located on the eastern shore of the province. Onboard a boat, you will sail to your first destination, Starfish Island. This crescent-shaped island is home to a large number of rock starfish and several varieties of fish. It's safe to swim and snorkel here as there are no jellyfish. You can also expect white sand on the island. You will next set foot on Cowrie Island, which is recognized for its shape resembling a seashell. It is the biggest island in Honda Bay, so you can do lots of activities here. You can try banana boat riding, jet-skiing, playing volleyball, and more. You can also enjoy a hearty meal at eating establishments. The last stop of your tour in Honda Bay is Luli Island. Besides the cream-colored sand, the place also features a snorkeling spot, a diving platform, and hammocks. By the end of the day, you will return to the mainland and spend the night at your Sabang hotel.

Day 12 - Day 12: Puerto Princesa Underground River and City Tour

On Day 12, you will tour Puerto Princesa, famed for its natural attractions, including the world-famous Puerto Princesa Underground River. You will ride a pump boat at Sabang Wharf to get to the underground river. From the harbor, the boat will take you inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you get to see fascinating stalactites and stalagmites. Afterward, you will kick off the city tour in Puerto Princesa. You will first visit Baker's Hill, where you can purchase some baked goodies. It is also a great place to take pictures as it has a theme park. Next, you'll head to the historic Plaza Cuartel, a former military base that the Japanese and Americans conquered during World War II. Your guide will drive you to the Crocodile Farm next. It houses not only crocodiles but also other endangered species in Palawan. You will also find skeletons, fossils, and bone structures of crocodiles here. You will then proceed to Mitra's Ranch to get a sweeping view of the city or try various activities like zip lining.
