Description

Learn how to be a rescue diver with this 4-day PADI course in El Nido. This package comes with four days of training, the assistance of a divemaster, and complete equipment. You will also be able to pick the dive sites you want to visit in El Nido. At the end of this course, you should be able to identify and solve minor issues during diving trips, ensuring that your future dives are safer. Note that this activity is for experienced divers only, so make sure to bring your certification with you.

Head to Turtle Divers to begin your course. Plan to arrive by 8 AM to maximize your experience. You may also start at 1 PM but make sure to coordinate this schedule in advance with the tour operator.

On the first day of the course, your instructor will teach you about Emergency First Response. You’ll learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR, identify injuries and illnesses, apply first aid when necessary, and properly bandage or apply a splint when needed.

The next day, you will learn and practice rescue skills in open water. This includes self-rescuing skills, search patterns, and in-water rescue breathing. You’ll continue practicing rescue techniques in open water on day 3, when you will be given realistic underwater rescue scenarios so you can practice your newly learned skills.

On your last day of the course, you’ll participate in more simulations so you can practice what was taught to you by your instructor. This includes how to react to and manage an emergency, how to rescue yourself, how to save a panicked or unresponsive diver, and how to recognize and manage stress in your fellow divers.

During your simulations, you can choose where to dive in El Nido. You have eight dives sites to choose from: South Miniloc, Twin Rocks, West Entalula, Pagluguban Dive Site, Popolcan Island, Helicopter Reef, Nat Nat Beach, and Address Reef. El Nido’s dive sites are rich with a variety of marine life, and you will be able to appreciate them during your dives. Note that not all dive sites may be available during your trip as availability is dependent on weather conditions.

After completing this course, you will become a certified PADI rescue diver, which will allow you to assist classes, lead dives, and work on a liveaboard.

Learn the knowledge and skills needed to become a PADI rescue diver. Check the availability by choosing a date.
