Experience walking on Boracay Island's seafloor through this helmet diving activity. This is a perfect experience for animal lovers as you will get to see the island's marine life up close. Along with the necessary gear for helmet diving, the activity also comes with speedboat transfers to the activity platform and the service of a guide.
On the day of your schedule, meet your local guide at Station 1, the Budget Mart in Station 2, or the beachfront of the Swiss Inn in Station 3. Then you'll board a speedboat to take you to the activity platform, which is just a few meters from the beach. When you arrive at the jump-off location, staff members will assist you, hand you life vests, and explain the safety rules for the activity.
When you're good to go, you will climb down a ladder on the side of the platform that leads directly into the sea. As you slowly submerge into the waters, the staff will place the helmet on you, which will trap air in it and form an air bubble to keep the water from coming in. Keep climbing down until you feel sand.
After reaching the seafloor, carefully follow your guide. When you reach a safe spot near the ladder, you can take the time to look around and watch schools of fish swim by you. Make sure to use hand signals to communicate with your group and your guide while underwater. After 15 minutes, your guide will lead you back to the ladder and help you climb back up.
Once your head is above water, the staff will help remove the helmet from your shoulders and help you get back onto the platform. You may then rest for a few minutes before taking the speedboat back to the shore.
