Review of Breathtaking 12-Day Islands Tour to Puerto Princesa, El Nido, Coron, Cebu & Siargao Package

10/10 My partner and I are seasoned travellers and usually plan our own holidays. However both of us had extremely hectic schedules in the back end of 2023 and so we went outside of our comfort zone and booked an entire 2 week island hopping tour of the Philippines through Guide To The Philippines (GTTP)! I have to say at first it was pretty daunting, handing over our precious holiday to someone else, but we are SO GLAD WE DID!! This is a team of passionate professionals who did absolutely everything they could to ensure we had a fantastic holiday! The tour itself was incredible, we did the 12-Day Puerto Princesa, El Nido, Coron, Cebu & Siargao Island Hopping Philippine Tour Package experience; possibly a bit too hectic, as we also bolted on all of the additional extras, but that was more us, biting off more than we could chew and in hindsight we don’t regret a thing! I am going out of my way to especially say that you are in very safe hands with the GTTP team! Here is what I experienced: 1. Excellent communication - the team write better English than most native speakers. I never had a language barrier. 2. Efficient - emails were responded to quickly and left no stone unturned, so no constant back and forth 3. Professional - always maintained professionalism, despite I was high maintenance from time to time and they may have wanted to kill me at times (lol) 4. 24/7 - I had support around the clock via email, WhatsApp and iMessage 5. Account Management - not sure if it’s intentional, however we seemed to have one particular agent who took care of most things, like she was assigned to us. Her name was Richel and she is just incredible! You are in fantastic hands if Richel is on your side!!! That said, if Richel was away, the other team members took great care of us also 6. Caring - I felt like I was being taken care of and they were always one step ahead and it filled me with confidence and joy to know they had my best interests at heart. 7. Good Value - Whilst on the tour you get an idea of pricing for each component and given the level of service we received this was incredible value We chose the comfort accommodation package and with the exception of one, the hotels were incredible! We provided feedback to GTTP about the hotel that wasn’t great, and they are looking into it. GTTP literally took care of every single component of our tour. We had daily emails explaining the itinerary for the day ahead with contact details for the tour providers and transport providers. All of our internal flights were organised perfectly. You will be very well taken care of if you choose to book a trip in the Philippines with GTTP. I have not been incentivised or pressured to write this review. It’s just so great to have an exceptional customer experience like my partner and I have had in the lead up and during our holiday! Thanks GTTP and especially Richel for being awesome and having curated a trip and a thousand memories that we will never forget!!! Luke, 40 Australian Eduardo, 39 Colombian

Frequently asked questions

What are some of the well-known islands included in a Siargao island-hopping tour?

Siargao, a tear-drop-shaped island known as one of the top surfing spots in the Philippines, has a lot of breathtaking islands like Guyam Island, Naked Island, and Daku Island, which are often combined in a tri-island hopping tour in Siargao.

When is the best season to try this activity?

The best time to take a flight to Siargao and try a Siargao island hopping tour package is during the dry season, from November to May. For more detailed information on climate and weather before visiting Siargao tourist spots, check out our Siargao travel guide.

What are some of the water activities I can do in a Siargao island-hopping tour?

Aside from swimming and lounging on the island, you can try various water activities like snorkeling and diving, or more recreational ones like parasailing, banana boat ride, flyfish, and more. There are also plenty of dive sites in Siargao you can try with your friends and family.

Do I need to know how to swim?

No. You may use the life vest provided in the boat. Just stay with the group throughout the tour for your safety.

What should I bring during the tour?

Bring sunblock, shades, towels, change clothes, and secure these in a waterproof bag. You may also want to bring your swimming gear such as goggles and snorkel to best explore the sea.

Are there food and drinks included in the tour?

Most island-hopping tours in Siargao include food and drinks, especially for Philippine honeymoon packages. You can also check out Siargao restaurants near the islands.

How do I get to the islands from the resort?

It depends on the location of your resort in Siargao. Some Siargao beachfront resorts and Siargao resorts for families offer their own Siargao island hopping excursions. For those on a budget and staying at a cheap hotel in Siargao, going on a DIY island-hopping tour via boat or booking a Philippine travel promo package with an island-hopping tour via an online travel agency like Guide to the Philippines is highly recommended.

How long does the tour last?

Island-hopping tours usually take half a day. It is best to allot at least 3-4 hours to engage in other water and recreational activities, especially if you’re planning to visit off-coast locations like Sugba Lagoon or popular Siargao surf spots like the famed Cloud 9.

Will there be an island-hopping tour during rainy or bad weather?

Island-hopping tours are very dependent on the weather and water conditions. Please get in touch with the tour operator of your Siargao tour packages to get real-time updates.
