Description

Explore the northernmost province in the Philippines with this Batanes online class and virtual tour package. This package is perfect for those planning a trip to Batanes in the near future as it comes with 4 60-minute sessions that will teach you about the local language, the history and traditions, the local cuisine, and the top tourist spots in the province.

Your 4 sessions may be scheduled once a day for 4 days in a row, every other day, or even once a week. The schedule is flexible but remember to give your instructors advance notice should you need to reschedule a session. Once your schedule is finalized, your instructor will send you a link to a Zoom meeting where your classes and virtual tour will be hosted.

Learn the basics of Tagalog or Filipino in your first class. This crash course on the national language of the Philippines will teach you basic sentences and phrases that will help you introduce yourself to and carry simple conversations with the locals.

Next, you’ll learn about the history and traditions of the province in your 2nd class. Batanes is a province that is always battered by typhoons, and the culture of the people is connected to understanding and living with nature. A perfect example of this is the traditional stone houses built to withstand the strongest typhoons.

Your 3rd class will tackle Batanes cuisine. The people of Batanes are very resourceful, and no ingredients go to waste. This is exemplified by dishes like uved and vunes, two dishes made from ingredients abundant in the province.

Finally, your last session will take you on a virtual tour of Batanes. Through your screens, you’ll visit its rolling hills, beaches, and famous lighthouses. After the tour, you may ask your tour guide questions to help you create and finalize your Batanes itinerary.

Get to know more about Batanes’ history, culture, and tourist attractions when you book this 4-session online package. Check the availability by choosing a date.
