Description

Immerse yourself in the heritage, culture, and culinary delights of Albay with this day tour that will take you to some of the tourist attractions in the province. This day tour already comes with transfers from your accommodations in Legazpi City, the services of a tour guide, travel insurance, entrance fees, lunch, snacks, and bottled water. This tour is perfect for those who don’t want to fuss over planning and arranging every detail of their itinerary.

Your tour will start when you are picked up from your accommodations at 8 AM. Your first stop is Tabaco City. Here, you will visit the market and souvenir shops for an early shopping experience. After shopping, you will head to the Tabaco City Hall and Plaza. You will also visit Tabaco Church, which is also known as  Saint John the Baptist Parish Church. Before you leave Tabaco City, you will visit a cutlery shop and see how their famous cutlery is made.

Your next destination is the municipality of Tiwi, where you will drop by Tiwi Church. Built in 1829, the religious site is also known as the Church of St. Lawrence the Martyr. After visiting here, you’ll head back to Tabaco City for lunch at Cafe Molave. Enjoy the local cuisine before making your way to Ness Crafts and Fine Foods, where you can shop for local handicrafts like woven bags and hats. You will return to Tiwi to visit the Philceramics at Barangay Putsan. Here, you can buy ceramics and even see how some products are made.

The next stop on your Albay tour is DJC Halo-Halo. This shop has many branches, and you’ll visit one for a bite of their famous halo-halo. While halo-halo is a popular sweet treat all over the Philippines, DJC’s halo-halo is unique because it is topped with grated cheese. You will then try marcasotes, a local sponge cake that is steamed and cooked in paper bags.

Afterward, you’ll head to Casa Simeon in Bacacay, where you will see a cooking demonstration of one of their signature dishes, Tinutungan na Manok, a chicken and roasted coconut milk dish. You will continue your culinary journey by heading to Oragon Craft Brew House to sample local craft beer and then to 1st Colonial Grill, which is known for its sili (chili pepper) ice cream. The ice cream comes in four spicy levels, with the hottest labeled “volcano.”

Once you are done with your Albay tour, you will be dropped back off at your accommodations.

Visit cultural attractions and enjoy local dishes in Albay when you book this day tour. Check the availability by choosing a date.
