Information about Luli Sandbar
Luli Sandbar
Luli Sandbar, more known as Luli Island, derived its name from the sandbar that emerges and falls depending on the tide (hence: lulubog and lilitaw). This is a popular destination when doing Honda Bay Puerto Princesa Island hopping.. It has powdery cream sand and sparkling emerald waters that are suitable for bathing and beachcombing.
During your stay, you can relax and sunbathe, walk in its powdery sand shores, surf or jump off a diving board, snorkel, and many more. Take a lot of photos and forget about the city life when you visit this attraction. Take note that Luli Island is better visited at low tide, as you can see the stunning sandbar.
How to get there
Aside from joining a guided tour, you can hire a tricycle from the city to Sta. Lourdes Port or Honda Bay Wharf. It’s better to book for roundtrip for a more convenient time.
Best time to visit
This attraction is best visited from November to April, which is the warm season of Puerto Princesa. Less rain means more chance of enjoying the island.
Entrance fee
Although a self-guided trip is possible, it’s best to book through an agent for a fixed price, which normally includes environmental and entrance fees, lunch, cruise, and guide. Some events on the islands, however, would require an additional fee.
