Oslob Whale Shark Watching

Oslob is a tiny seaside town located on the southernmost edge of the Cebu mainland. It has lately become a popular tourist site due to whale shark expeditions. The Whale Sharks on the Oslob Whale Shark Snorkel trip are natural creatures that come and go as they want. The floats you see on the surface are just delineating a no-go zone for powered boats.

Diving and snorkeling are time-and people-limited activities that are done in batches. Each group is given 30 minutes to see or swim with the whale sharks. Prior to that, there will be an instructive discussion and presentation about Whale Sharks, as well as strict rules that must be followed throughout the activity.

How to get there

Take a Ceres bus to "Bato-Oslob" from the South Bus Terminal (near E-Mall). All buses headed for Oslob run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Inform the driver that you want to be dropped off at the main Whale Shark activity location.

Best time to visit

Visit during the summer season, and preferably during mornings for a better experience.
