Our family experienced a day trip to Villa Escudero this week and had a fantastic time. Our driver and guide picked us up at our residence in Manila and educated us on everything about the tour and fun Philippines facts throughout the drive. The driver was safe and smooth the entire way. We were greeted at the villa by two of the Escudero family and then proceeded by a water buffalo-drawn wagon to the truly unique waterfall lunch experience. The food buffet was excellent and we had fresh coconut drinks, fresh watermelon, and fresh mango on top of the main selections. Really, really filling and delicious. Our kids played in the resort-quality pools to cool off and we just explored a small chunk of the 800 hectares of property on the farm before being entertained by the cultural show in the shade of the big pavilion. This is one of the best family-friendly adventures you can experience within a couple hours of Manila. In fact, seeing the on-site cabins for overnight stay had us wishing we could have made a long weekend out of it (obviously, many people do). Even with a full day, there is so much more to explore on this beautiful property. It was a great day! The guides are very nice and gave us a lot of information throughout the tour. The views of the volcano from the restaurant are amazing. Highly recommended excursion!
