BOOKING INFORMATION - Upon booking, please expect an email from booking@guidetothephilippines.ph for the voucher, reminder, and next steps.
MEET AND GREET - For domestic arrival, proceed directly to Bay 11 of the arrival area. For international arrival terminal 2, the driver will be waiting outside the arrival gate of Mactan-Cebu International Airport with a signage - guest name.
EARLY CHECK-IN - Standard check-in time is 1400H-1500H. For early check-in, you may proceed to add-ons to avail of early check-in exclusive rates. Make sure that room for early check-in selected is same as the actual room type.
HOTEL STAY EXTENSION - Delays caused by the processing of quarantine certificates by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) that results in additional nights will be settled between the guest and the hotel. Guest can book directly with the hotel via personal account using the published rate.
VIRTUAL TOURS AND CLASSES - You will receive a confirmation email including the meeting link for your chosen tours and classes within 48hrs upon completion of purchase. Virtual Tours and Classes start at 1:00 PM PST via Google Meet.
Airport Arrival Procedures
All international arriving passengers at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) shall observe the following arrival protocols:
1. All passengers will be subjected to mandatory swab testing and quarantine protocols.
2. All arriving Filipino passengers shall be swabbed upon arrival free of charge while permitted foreign nationals shall shoulder the cost of testing at PhP901.00.
AIRPORT ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
Step 1. Online Registration. Complete the online MCIA Passenger Arrival Registration Form via https://mactancebuairport.com/covid-19-registration within five (5) days before your scheduled arrival date at MCIA. Take note of the unique Barcode/Travel Reference Number (TRN) sent to your email address upon completion of the form.
Step 2. In-flight procedures. Prior to arrival, fill out the following forms distributed by the airline crew while on flight: Health Declaration Form & Immigration Arrival Card
Step 3. Arrival briefing. Upon arrival, undergo required briefing by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ).
Step 4. Validation. Once briefing is done, proceed to the Validation Counter and present the following: Barcode/Travel Reference Number (TRN), Passport, Boarding Pass, Health Declaration Form, Hotel Reference Booking.
Keep the printed barcode until the date of your scheduled swab test.
Step 5. Temperature scan. Proceed to thermal scanning by the BOQ. Remember to temporarily take off your caps, eyewear, and face shield when undergoing thermal scan.
Step 6. Immigration clearance. Proceed to the Immigration counter for clearance. Submit Immigration Arrival Card.
Step 7. Proceed to designated counters. Proceed to the designated counters at the Arrival Reclaim Hall: For OFWs: OWWA Counter for hotel accommodation assignment. For non-OFW Filipinos and foreign nationals, proceed to swabbing area.
Step 8. Swab testing. All passengers shall be swabbed upon arrival at MCIA and on the 7th day of quarantine at their respective quarantine facilities. All swab tests will be administered by the Department of Health (DOH) Region 7.
Step 9. Claim luggage. Proceed to assigned reclaim belt to claim baggage.
Step 10. Waiting area. Proceed to the designated waiting area and wait for a representative from the respective agencies for Customs clearance: OWWA for OFWs. Accredited hotel representatives for returning non-OFW Filipinos and foreign nationals.
Step 11. Customs clearance. Proceed to Customs counter for clearance.
Step 12. Quarantine facility transfer. Proceed to your designated vehicle with your respective agency representative for hotel or quarantine accommodation drop-off.
Step 13. Releasing of test results. Only the RT-PCR swab test result taken on the 7th day shall be released on the 9th day via the email address provided in the online registration form.
If swab test result is positive, BOQ will coordinate with the passenger for specific instructions. The passenger must comply with the mandated health, safety, and treatment protocols of the DOH and BOQ.
If swab test result is negative, the passenger will receive the test result via email from the BOQ.

Step 14. Home bound. If swab test result is negative, coordinate with your LGU for further instructions on transport and specific quarantine protocols.

Room Occupancy Conditions of Accommodation Establishments under a Community Quarantine pursuant to DOT Advisory No. NCR-007-003 Series of 2021
Accommodation Establishment shall only accommodate the following permitted guests under the following room occupancy conditions:
ECQ, MECQ, GCQ & MGCQ
For Permitted Guests of Regular Hotels, Single Occupancy for guests from different households; Double Occupancy for guests from the same household;
GCQ and MGCQ
For Permitted Guests of Regular Hotels, the following are the room occupancy conditions:
a) Up to 2 persons, room size is up to 29 sqm;
b) Up to 3 persons, room size is 30-39 sqm;
c) Up to 4 persons, room size is 40-49 sqm;
d) Up to 5 persons, rooms size is 50 sqm and above.
Philippine Arrivals Testing & Quarantine Protocols
Based on the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 149-A released last November 18, 2021, here are the updated quarantine protocols for those coming from countries, territories, or jurisdictions under the Green, Yellow and Red List, effective November 22, 2021:
GREEN LIST
Filipinos with a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure
• No quarantine and testing upon arrival
Filipinos without a negative RT-PCR test
• Facility-based quarantine until release of negative results
• On-arrival swabbing
• Self-monitoring until the 14th day upon arrival
Foreigners with Negative RT-PCR taken within 72 hours before departure
• No facility-based quarantine and testing upon arrival
• Self-monitoring until the 14th day upon arrival
Unvaccinated, Partially Vaccinated, Unverified, Fully Vaccinated But Without Pre-Test Travel Requirement
Filipinos & Foreigners
• Facility-based quarantine until the release of the negative test results
• 5th day swabbing
• Self-monitoring until the 14th day from arrival
Note: The testing and quarantine protocols of Minors shall follow the testing and quarantine protocol of the parent/guardian traveling with them, regardless of the minor’s vaccination status, and country of origin.
