Mindanao Cuisine Culinary Class by Chef Trisha Ocampo
Embark on a gastronomic adventure in Mindanao with Chef Trisha in this virtual culinary class. The island of Mindanao is blessed with near-unlimited access to the freshest seafood and a geographical location that allows for a rich culinary fusion with the neighboring Malay countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and Thailand.
Mindanao, once regarded as the Island of Promises for its untapped, promising natural resources, has become a "gateway to opportunity" for Philippine and international investors eyeing opportunities in agribusiness, industry, and tourism. Among the three main islands, Mindanao has the biggest total land area located in the heart of the Asia-Pacific region (Source: Philippine Statistics Office). It is also globally known for being home to the surf capital of the country, highly-urbanized cities, and world-class beaches.
Adding to their advantages as a culturally diverse region, Mindanao also abounds in natural resources, exotic spices, and a mouth-watering fruit selection as the second largest island in the country. Whether you’re a professional chef or a passionate foodie, you will certainly discover why it’s way more fun to eat and cook in the Philippines! Dig in!
