Before you head to Albay, you will go on a short detour to Manila. After you arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, a designated driver will pick you up and bring you to your comfort-level accommodations in the city. Check in and prepare for another flight the next day. If you want to make the most out of your visit to Manila, you may book a walking tour of the historic walled city of Intramuros.
On day 2 of your Philippine vacation package, you’ll arrive in Albay via a flight to the Bicol International Airport. From there, wait for your transfer to pick you up and bring you to your hotel. Check in to your room and rest, as you have several days of touring ahead of you. You may also opt to explore the nearby areas and dine at local restaurants.
Your Bicol tour on day 3 will start with a 5-hour Mayon ATV ride which will begin early in the morning. The ATV trail you’ll go on is near Mayon Volcano and is exclusive to Guide to the Philippines and will take you to rocky paths, rivers, and swamps. After your drive, you’ll explore the Cagsawa Ruins and Daraga Church before ending your day in the Albay Farmers Bounty Village.
Wear swimming clothes on day 4, as you will be exploring two waterfalls as part of your Philippine tour package. Busay Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, is your first stop on this tour. You can trek to the high levels of this seven-tiered waterfalls or just enjoy its pool. You’ll also go to Vera Falls. This 25-meter waterfalls has smaller waterfalls coming out of its rockface, with water cascading down to its natural pool.
After two day tours, you can use day 5 to just rest and relax at your accommodations in Albay. But if you’re up for more exploration, you can book an add-on Best Views of Mayon Sightseeing & Culture Tour. Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Manila + Check-in
Your 1 week in the Philippines starts when you arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. From there, a driver will pick you up and take you to your comfort-level hotel in Manila. You can rest in your room, explore the city on your own, or book a walking tour of the walled city of Intramuros as an add-on to your Philippines itinerary.
You have two options: a morning or a night tour. If you want a lighter tour, go for the morning tour, as the night tour focuses on the war and will go into detail on the atrocities committed during that period. Both tours will bring you to Fort Santiago, a historic fortress built in 1571; Casa Manila, a museum that was designed to mimic houses during the Spanish colonial period; and the Memorare-Manila 1945 Monument, which commemorates the civilians who died during the Battle of Manila. There are also additional stops depending on which tour you choose.
Day 2 - Day 2: Arrival in Albay + Check-in
On day 2 of your multi-day tour, check out of your hotel in Manila and wait for your assigned driver to bring you back to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. After a short flight, you will land in Albay. Your transfer will be waiting for you at Bicol International Airport. Once you are picked up, you’ll head to your hotel so you can check in into your room. Once you have checked in, feel free to take advantage of the facilities of the hotel or just relax in your room. You may also explore the nearby tourist spots and visit some restaurants to try local cuisine.
Day 3 - Day 3: Albay Mayon ATV Exclusive Trail, Church & Farm Village Tour with Transfers
Today, you will go on your first complimentary tour. Dress comfortably as you will begin your tour with a 5-hour ATV ride on an exclusive off-road trail that will go through rocky paths, rivers, and swamps and stop at a viewing area of Mount Mayon. After your ATV drive, you’ll visit the Cagsawa Ruins and Daraga Church before learning about farming techniques and shopping at Albay Farmers Bounty Village.
Day 4 - Day 4: Albay Busay & Vera Waterfalls Tour with Transfers from Legazpi
Be ready to get wet as you’ll explore two of Albay’s waterfalls today. Busay Falls is a seven-tiered waterfalls and is one of the tallest in the country. You can hike to its higher levels or just enjoy a relaxing swim at its natural pool. Vera Falls, on the other hand, is a 25-meter waterfalls with mini-falls cascading down its walls.
Day 5 - Day 5: Free Time + Optional Tour
You have a free day today, and you can spend it however you see fit. But if you still want to see more of Mayon’s almost perfect cone, you can book an add-on Best Views of Mayon Sightseeing & Culture Tour. Mayon’s cone can be seen from different viewing spots, and you’ll visit some of those spots on this add-on day tour. You’ll start with breakfast in a floating raft in Sumlang Lake and then head to other viewing areas like the Quituinan Hills, The Campsite, and Mayon Skyline Viewdeck.
You will also get to sample two local delicacies. Pinangat is a stew made with coconut milk and taro leaves, while Guinobatan Longganisa is a special pork sausage that is made with chopped meat instead of ground meat.
Day 6 - Day 6: Sorsogon Matnog Island Hopping with Lunch & Transfers from Sorsogon or Legazpi
Today is the last full day on your vacation package, and you can make the most of it by going on a complimentary island-hopping tour in Albay’s neighboring province, Sorsogon. Your first stop of the day is Tikling Island, which is famous for its white sand. You’ll notice that the shore has a hint of pink, thanks to the crushed red corals that have washed ashore and mixed with the sand. You will also get to visit Juag Marine Sanctuary, which is teeming with fish that you can see when you snorkel in its waters. You’ll end your tour with a stop at Subic Island, which has two coves with powdery sand that are perfect for swimming or lounging.
Day 7 - Day 7: Checkout + Departure
Take advantage of the free breakfast at the hotel. If you still have time, squeeze in some last-minute shopping at nearby shops before preparing to leave Albay. Once you get back at the hotel, pack your belongings, checkout, and wait for your transfer to pick you up so you can get to the airport in time for your return flight to Manila.
