Description

Visit and explore one of the top destinations in the Philippines and the world, Palawan Island, with a thrilling hike to the famous Mt. Pinatubo, when you book this 7-day vacation package.

This multi-day tour allows you to visit some of the best islets and beaches in El Nido town and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Underground River in Puerto Princesa City, on the island of Palawan.

You will also explore an active volcano, Mt. Pinatubo, one of the best day trip destinations from Manila City.

This Philippine tour package already includes roundtrip flights from Manila City, comfortable accommodations with breakfast, and convenient transfers. To make your trip even better, the service of tour guides and entrance fees are included in this package.

To stay connected throughout your journey, you can also upgrade your trip with a travel eSIM for the Philippines. This convenient add-on enables you to access mobile data without the hassle of physical SIM cards, making it easier to navigate maps, share your travel moments, and stay connected with loved ones.

Your trip will start in Manila City, the gateway for flights to Palawan Island and land travel to Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines. To make the most of your stay in the city, you can book exciting add-on tours to explore its rich culture and vibrant flavors.

For a unique experience, you can join a bamboo bike tour around Intramuros old town, where you’ll ride through cobblestone streets and visit historical landmarks like Fort Santiago, Plaza San Luis, and San Agustin Church while learning about the city’s colonial past.

If you're a foodie, you can opt for a food crawl at the Binondo district, where you’ll stroll through the world’s oldest Chinatown and sample mouthwatering Filipino-Chinese dishes.

Both tours include roundtrip hotel transfers for a convenient and hassle-free experience.

The next day, you will head north of Manila City to the province of Tarlac, the gateway to Mt. Pinatubo.

You’ll begin your adventure with an exciting 4x4 ride across a rugged lahar trail formed by Mt. Pinatubo’s eruption. Along the way, you’ll see landscapes of gray volcanic ash and boulders, a stark but stunning reminder of nature’s power.

When the road ends, you’ll continue the journey on foot, trekking through forest trails and rocky slopes. Along the hike, you’ll encounter scattered remnants of volcanic activity before reaching the breathtaking crater lake of Mt. Pinatubo.

Upon reaching the crater lake, you’ll be rewarded with postcard-worthy landscapes and stunning views. You can take your time to relax, capture photos, or simply admire the beauty of this natural wonder.

After this memorable adventure, you’ll travel back to Manila City, where you can either rest or explore at your own pace before your flight to Palawan Island the following day.

More than half of this vacation package to the Philippines is dedicated to Palawan Island because it has so much to offer.

Year after year, Palawan Island has been on the must-visit lists of both local and international travel sites. Although it is known for its beautiful beaches, you will explore more than that during your Philippine travel package.

On day 3, you will check out of your hotel in Manila City, and you’ll fly to Puerto Princesa City in Palawan Island. Upon your arrival, you will check in and settle into your room.

You can enjoy a leisurely walk along the Puerto Princesa Baywalk or visit a local market to get a feel for the city’s coastal charm.

In Puerto Princesa City, you will visit the Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on your fourth day.

As you cruise into the cavern, your boatman will guide a spotlight to reveal magnificent rock formations shaped like animals, fruits, and figures. This underground river is also home to unique wildlife such as swiftlets and monitor lizards, which thrive in its untouched ecosystem.

After the river tour, you’ll return to the port and enjoy a hearty buffet lunch with scenic views.

After your tour, you’ll travel from Puerto Princesa City to El Nido town, another top destination in Palawan Island. Once you arrive, you’ll check in at your hotel and can take a relaxing walk around town, visit local shops, or enjoy dinner by the beach to prepare for your next island adventure.

The next day, you’ll see some of the most photographed sites and tourist spots, including majestic lagoons and beautiful islands.

Your day of island hopping in El Nido town begins with a trip to the famous Big Lagoon, where towering rock cliffs surround crystal-clear waters. You can swim or ride a kayak to explore the calm waters and hidden corners of this natural wonder.

Another stop is the Secret Lagoon, accessible only through a small hole in the rocks. Once inside, you’ll discover a peaceful pool surrounded by cliffs.

You’ll also visit Payong-Payong Beach, a quiet stretch of soft white sand perfect for sunbathing or just unwinding with the ocean breeze.

A picnic lunch will be served on one of the islands, where you can enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the beautiful scenery around you.

On day 6, you’ll check out of your hotel in El Nido town and board a transfer to the airport for your return flight to Manila City.

Once in Manila City, you can enjoy the rest of your day by visiting a local mall for dining and shopping, or you can explore nearby attractions.

On your last day, you can start your morning with a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Before checking out, you can take the chance to buy local souvenirs such as dried mangoes, handmade crafts, or native delicacies. It’s the perfect way to bring a piece of your Philippine adventure home with you.

Day 1 - Day 1: Manila City

On your first day of this Philippine holiday package, your designated driver will be waiting for you to escort you to your accommodation once you arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

You are free to explore the city on your own, but you also have the option to book some exciting tours.

You can hop on a bamboo bike and pedal through the historic streets of Intramuros old town, where you’ll pass by centuries-old churches, stone walls, and charming plazas like Fort Santiago, Plaza San Luis, and San Agustin Church, all while uncovering stories from the country’s Spanish colonial era.

If you’re craving local flavors, you can choose to go on a food crawl in the Binondo district and discover the culinary treasures of the world’s oldest Chinatown. You can sample Filipino-Chinese classics like siopao (steamed buns), lumpia (spring rolls), and delicious dumplings from beloved eateries along Ongpin Street.

Both tours come with roundtrip hotel transfers, making your cultural and culinary exploration completely stress-free.

Day 2 - Day 2: Day Hike to Mt. Pinatubo with 4x4 Ride

On the second day of your tour, you will be heading north to the province of Tarlac, the gateway to Mt. Pinatubo.

Mt. Pinatubo is an active volcano that is infamous for its deadly eruption in the early 1990s. It was the 20th century’s second-biggest eruption. Since then, Mt. Pinatubo has become a popular tourist attraction.

The terrain has become rough as a consequence of the eruption. Roads are craggy and filled with lahar, which is why you will be riding a 4x4 vehicle during your trip.

It’s best to gear up for the day, as it will involve a bit of hiking to reach the crater lake of Mt. Pinatubo.

The climb is fairly easy and suitable for beginners. At the very end of your journey, you will come upon Mt. Pinatubo’s crater lake. It’s quite a sight at the very end that is well worth the hike.

Once your trip to Mt. Pinatubo is completed, you will return to the base camp. Your van will take you back to your accommodation in Manila City.

Day 4 - Day 4: Puerto Princesa Underground River and El Nido Town

Today, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Princesa’s Underground River.

It is a protected national park, approximately 8 kilometers long, and is home to a diverse array of interesting fauna and flora. It also has one of the world’s largest cave rooms.

As your boat glides into the cave, your guide will shine a spotlight on the stunning rock formations inside, many of which resemble animals, vegetables, and mythical figures.

During your tour, you will also be able to see stunning stalactites and stalagmites in the caves.

The stillness of the water and the cool, shadowy interior add a sense of wonder to this unique underground world.

The river’s ecosystem is home to creatures like swiftlets and monitor lizards, which thrive in its untouched environment.

Once the tour concludes, you'll return to the port for a satisfying buffet lunch, taking in the beautiful coastal views. You will then travel to the next leg of your Palawan Island adventure, El Nido town.

You will visit pristine beaches, wonderful islands, and picture-perfect backdrops.

One of the highlights of your tour is the Big Lagoon. This amazing spot begins with a narrow entrance that opens up to a breathtaking view. It is surrounded by limestone cliffs and boasts rich, blue waters.

You will also go to Shimizu Island, where you can go snorkeling. This is your chance to spot colorful corals and fish.

The Secret Lagoon is another favorite site among tourists during this island hopping tour. This hidden lagoon has a very small entrance, so small that boats can’t enter, and visitors have to crawl through it.
