In Davao, you have two complimentary tours. The first will take you to some of the top tourist spots in Davao City, including the Kadayawan Cultural Village and the Long Hua Buddhist Temple. Your second tour will take you to Samal Island, the largest resort city in the Philippines. Here you can enjoy pristine beaches and stunning ocean views. You will also have the option to book add-on tours to your current multi-day tour, where you’ll visit Eden Nature Park and the Philippine Eagle Center.
On day 5 of this tour of the Philippines, you will go on your flight to Cagayan De Oro, where you will spend two nights. The most popular activity to try here is whitewater rafting, and you will be able to experience this yourself on day 6. Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Manila + Check-in
For the start of this Philippine itinerary for 1 week, a designated driver will pick you up from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. You will be dropped off at your comfort-level hotel in Manila. You will check in for one night.
You have a scheduled flight tomorrow, but if you’re still up for it, you can enjoy the attractions near your hotel. You can also take the chance to try Filipino food in local restaurants.
Day 2 - Day 2: Arrival in Davao + Check-in + Optional Tours
Check out of your hotel in Manila, and wait to be picked up. A driver will bring you back to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport so you can catch your flight to Davao. After a quick trip, you’ll land at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport. Another driver will pick you up and bring you to your comfort-level accommodations in Davao. You will stay here for three nights.
You have the rest of the day to explore Davao on your own, but you may also book an add-on tour to your existing Philippine travel package. A tour of Eden Nature Park will allow you to explore gardens and go around hiking trails. There are also recreational facilities like the Skyswing and the Skycycle that you can try for a fee.
Should you decide to book a tour of the Philippine Eagle Center, you will be able to visit the facility, see some of the biggest eagles in the world, and learn more about these birds. The conservation center also houses other animals from Mindanao.
Day 3 - Day 3: Davao City Private Sightseeing Tour with Transfers
After enjoying breakfast, prepare for your first complimentary tour of this Philippine holiday package. You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning. You’ll begin your tour with a visit to one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Philippines, Long Hua Buddhist Temple. You’ll also stop at the Kadayawan Cultural Village, where you can see exhibits on the indigenous tribes of Mindanao.
The tour will also pass by Davao’s Chinatown, San Juan Pedro Cathedral, the City Hall, the D’Bone Collector Museum, and the Poblacion Market Central. You will be dropped off at your hotel after the tour.
Day 4 - Day 4: Samal Island Private Sightseeing Tour with Transfers
Your last tour in Davao will be of Samal Island. You will be picked up from your accommodations and board a boat to Samal Island. The island is the largest resort city in the country and is home to white-sand beaches and clear waters.
When you tour the Philippines, especially during your visit, you can enjoy many activities like fish feeding and swimming. Should you get hungry, there are dining establishments where you can try local cuisine at your own expense.
Day 5 - Day 5: Arrival in Cagayan de Oro + Check-in
You will check out of your hotel in Davao City and head back to the airport so you can catch your flight to Cagayan de Oro. After landing at the Laguindingan Airport, you will head to your comfort-level accommodations in Cagayan de Oro as part of the Philippine itinerary.
You will try whitewater rating tomorrow, but you can explore the city on your own today.
Day 6 - Day 6: Cagayan De Oro Whitewater Rafting with Transfers & Gear Rental
For your whitewater rafting experience, make sure you are wearing light and comfortable clothes as well as waterproof shoes. You will be picked up from your accommodations and brought to the rafting site. You can take one of three routes, each with varying intensities.
All three routes will pass through at least 14 rapids, ensuring a thrilling experience. Expect an adrenaline rush as you enjoy the ride through the Cagayan de Oro River. After whitewater rafting, you will be brought back to your accommodations in Cagayan de Oro.
Day 7 - Day 7: Checkout + Departure
This is the last day of this travel package, and you have time to explore the city before checking out in the morning. Once you have checked out, a driver will pick you up and bring you back to the airport so you can catch your return flight to Manila.
