In 10 days, you’ll get to visit historical and cultural attractions. Besides that, you will see the Philippines' natural beauty, from high up on a mountain then right down to the sea. Your journey will start in the Philippines capital city of Manila, and then you will be flying off to Ilocos and making your way to Sagada, Banaue, and Tarlac. You will also go on island hopping tours in Puerto Princesa and Port Barton.

In the city of Manila, you’ll get to visit the historic Intramuros. This walled area is home to stone structures that are hundreds of years old. Then in the World Heritage City of Vigan, you’ll be walking through the famous Calle Crisologo.

Day 1

Day 1 - Day 1: Intramuros Tour

On your first tour day, you will visit the historic district of Intramuros in the Philippines' capital, Manila City. You will explore museums, historical sites, and churches. Fort Santiago is a defense fortress that was built during the 16th century. It is a national historical landmark and was even where Jose Rizal, the country's national hero, was imprisoned right before he was executed. Plaza Roma is one of the few public squares in Intramuros. During the Spanish Colonial period, it was the center of the city and was turned into a garden. You can learn more about Manila's history in the following museums that you will visit: Bahay Tsinoy and Casa Manila. At San Diego Gardens, you will find a small but peaceful park. Nearby is Baluarte De San Diego, which is one of the oldest stone structures in the country. San Agustin Church and Museum is a designated world heritage site. This church was completed during the 16th century. On the other hand, the neighboring Manila Cathedral was also established during this time. The structure was rebuilt throughout the centuries. The current Manila Cathedral that stands today was completed during the 1970s.

Day 2 - Day 2: Ilocos Laoag & Vigan Tour

The expansive Ilocos Region is home to many historical attractions. It is also where the UNESCO World Heritage City of Vigan is located. On this jam-packed day, you'll be able to learn more about this interesting region. The Malacanang of the north was the former residence of then-President Ferdinand Marcos. It has since become a presidential museum. You’ll then get to visit the largest lake in the region, Paoay Lake. Paoay Church is one of the most recognizable churches in the country, thanks to its Baroque-style architecture. At the Marcos Museum, you will learn more about the late President Marcos. This museum was also the site of his crypt. At the Juan and Antonio Luna Museum, you will know more about the Luna brothers and their contribution to Philippine history. Saint Paul Cathedral was established during the 16th century; however, the building that stands today was completed during the 18th century. Bantay Church was also established in the 16th century but was heavily damaged throughout the years. The current structure was completed in 1950. You will get to know more about traditional pottery in Vigan at Pagburnayan. More of the city's rich history can be learned at the Burgos Museum, the National Museum, and the Crisologo Museum. Baluarte is a Vigan City zoo home to many animals, including big cats. The day's final stop is the famous Calle Crisologo, a cobblestone street with well-preserved Spanish Colonial houses.

Day 3

Day 3 - Day 3: Sagada Tour

Your third day will be a visit to scenic mountainscapes and mysterious caves in the quiet town of Sagada. To reach it, you will go through bumpy and winding roads. Expect an early departure from the City of Laoag to reach Sagada. There are dozens of caves located in the area, and you will visit Sugong Cave, which is the site of the hanging coffins. Locals have been practicing this traditional burial for centuries. However, this type of burial is reserved for prominent people in the community only. At Echo Valley, you will be immersed in nature. This lush location is named Echo Valley because an echo will definitely be heard if you shout. Hiking through it will lead you down to a river and then a waterfall. Exploring a cave can definitely be physically demanding. You should be wearing the proper gear when you go spelunking at Sumaguing Cave. This is the largest cave in Sagada, and it features natural pools of water and amazing rock formations. Before going back to your hotel in Sagada, you will first stop at the Bontoc Tribal Museum. It has an excellent collection of priceless artifacts, including musical instruments, headhunter trophies, everyday tools, and more.

Day 4

Day 4 - Day 4: Banaue Tour

Banaue, located in the Province of Ifugao, is known for its rice terraces. On this day, you will be able to see an ancient irrigation system. Not only is it functional, but it is also aesthetically pleasing. You will make your way to the quiet village of Batad. Expect a lot of walking and hiking on this day. The next destination on your itinerary will be based on what you choose from the options. The first option is to go on a 30-minute hike to the Batad Banaue Viewpoint. If you want something a little more exciting, you can trek to the nearby Tappiya Waterfall. Although this destination is a bit more challenging to go to, you will be rewarded with an astonishing view of a 30m waterfall that plunges into a large and refreshing pool. The third and last option is to go to Banga-an Village to get to know more about how the locals live in the area. There are a few souvenir shops where you can purchase locally crafted items in the village. You can get a deeper understanding of the indigenous tribes of the Cordillera Mountains at the Banaue Museum.

Day 5

Day 5 - Day 5: Baguio Tour

Baguio City, also known as the City of Pines, is the Summer Capital of the Philippines. People from the metro come up to the city to enjoy the cool climate and natural sites of Baguio. The first site you will visit is the Ifugao Museum. It’s where you can learn the ancient traditions of the Ifugao. Next, you will visit an important World War II spot, the Surrender Site of General Yamashita. The campus of the Philippine Military Academy is located in Baguio City. The school is open to the public, and there is a museum they can visit. The summer residence of the Philippine President is also located in Baguio. The Mansion is one of the most photographed locations of the city, thanks mainly to its grand gate entrance. You can better appreciate the landscape and the chill ambiance of Baguio in the following tourist destinations you will visit. First is Camp John Hay, which is also a watershed reservation. Then there is Mines View Park, Wright Park, and Centennial Park. If you are looking to purchase souvenirs or treats to take home, you can do so at the Good Shepherd Convent. This tourist-favorite store sells delicious goods like the famous ube jam.

Day 6

Day 6 - Day 6: Mt. Pinatubo Tour

The active Mt. Pinatubo is a stratovolcano located along the Zambales Mountains. It’s situated in the provinces of Tarlac, Zambales, and Pampanga. On this day, you are going to hike up Mt. Pinatubo’s crater lake. In the 90s, this volcano caused one of the most violent eruptions in the country and the second-largest one in the world. This caused its summit to be destroyed, and a caldera was created. Immediately after the eruption came, the caldera was filled up with water because of a monsoon. The crater lake was formed and has become a popular tourist site. To start your tour, you will head to Brgy. Sta. Juliana in the province of Tarlac. A 4x4 vehicle will take you across the sandy and craggy terrain leading towards the volcano. To reach the crater lake, you need to go on a short hike. At the very end is a dramatic view of a calm blue-green lake surrounded by rough crater walls. Beginners can do the hike, but it’s important to wear the right gear during your tour. It gets very hot during the afternoon, and there isn’t any shade in the area. After your tour, your van will take you to your hotel in Manila.

Day 7

Day 7 - Day 7: Puerto Princesa Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour

The coastal city of Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan. For years, Palawan has been included in the Philippines' top island destinations and the world. On this day, you’ll get a taste of what Palawan has to offer. Once you have arrived in Puerto Princesa International Airport, your van will take you to the wharf around 10km away. From there, you will ride a boat and visit 3 islands at the famous Honda Bay. The first stop in Star Fish Island, where you can see a lot of starfishes. You can also go snorkeling around the area to spot other sea creatures swimming around. The next stop is Cowrie Island, which is called as such because of its shell shape. It is the largest island on Honda Bay and has tourist facilities. There are dining and picnic sites and also showers. Cowrie Island also has a netted swimming area to prevent jellyfish from entering its beach. The last stop is Luli Island, which disappears and appears from the water depending on the tide. This island is also a great spot for snorkeling. After you tour Honda Bay, you will go back to the mainland. Your van will then take you to your hotel in the town of Sabang.

Day 8

Day 8 - Day 8: Puerto Princesa City Tour

One of the most well-known destinations of Puerto Princesa is its Underground River. This is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also a new wonder of the world. On this day, you will be able to visit the Puerto Princesa Underground River. In the next part of your tour, you will leave Sabang and go to Puerto Princesa City. You can choose from a wide array of pastries to sample at Bakers Hill. You will then head downtown to Plaza Cuartel and learn about the history of the city. This former garrison has since been turned into an outdoor park. You’ll get to meet different crocodiles at your next destination. The Crocodile Farm is more than just a tourist destination; it is also a research facility. It even has a small zoo that is home to other animals and reptiles. Mitra’s Ranch is a relaxing park that boasts a panoramic view of Puerto Princesa City. To elevate your sightseeing experience, the ranch also has a zipline that you can ride. Before you end your tour of Puerto Princesa City, you will go to the seaside promenade. Puerto Princesa Baywalk has a few souvenir stalls and dining establishments. Your van will take you back to the town of Sabang after your tour.

Day 9

Day 9 - Day 9: Port Barton Island Hopping Tour

The quiet town of San Vicente is the road less traveled in Palawan. It is not as commercialized as the other destinations in the province, but it offers top-notch beaches and islands. The village of Port Barton is frequented mostly by backpackers and international travelers. On this day, you will see what Port Barton has to offer. Port Barton’s beach may have brown sand, but you can expect white beaches on the islands you will visit. The first one you will visit is commonly called German Island but is now known as Inaladelan Island. This tropical escape is perfect for beach camping. It also has beach volleyball and kayaking facilities. Luli Sandbar is an intriguing spot at Port Barton. During the high tide, it disappears beneath the water. You can only enjoy this location when the tide is low, and it emerges from the sea. You get an opportunity to have a unique experience at the Turtle Snorkeling Site. Large sea turtles are spotted in the area, and you get the chance to swim with them. The last stop of the day is the Fish and Coral Snorkeling Site. You will get to see dozens of colorful fish and beautiful corals of Port Barton.

Day 10

Day 10 - Day 10: Departure to Manila

Your 10-day vacation of Luzon is finally over, and you will go back to Manila today. Once you have checked out of your hotel in Sabang, your van will pick you up and take you to the airport. From Palawan, it's a short flight back to Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
