Day 2 - Day 2: Culinary, Chocolate, Beer & Sightseeing Tour

Wake up to the chilly weather and get ready for a full day’s itinerary after your complimentary breakfast at the restaurant hotel. For the next 10 hours, you will go on a sightseeing and food tasting trip, starting with an early lunch at Cocina del Sol, a well-loved restaurant serving sumptuous Cordilleran-Spanish fusion dishes in an alfresco style setting. After a delicious meal, leave room for a post-lunch snack at Choco-late de Batirol, a cozy nook in Camp John Hay specializing in a thick hot chocolate beverage made of local cocoa beans. You will then proceed to the bakeshop at the Baguio Country Club, famous for its raisin bread, banana bread, and other pastries. Next, you’ll stroll through the bamboo-lined pathways of the Bamboo Sanctuary, an eco-park located in Liteng, Pacdal, followed by a haunted house tour at the Diplomat Hotel. This abandoned building used to be a retreat house in Dominican Hill. Afterward, it’s time to go to Mirador Retreat House, a Jesuit retreat house perched on top of a hill, the perfect vantage point for sunset viewing. Prepare for another fun Baguio tour, beginning with a trip to the centuries-old Casa Vallejo, the oldest hotel in the city adjacent to Hill Station, a popular restaurant serving delicious fusion dishes. You’ll then proceed to the Baguio Museum, where they display cultural artifacts and dioramas of Ifugao traditional homes. Continue your immersion in the local culture at the Museo Cordillera, an ethnographic museum that aims to preserve the indigenous heritage of people from the Cordillera Administrative Region. The next leg of your tour focuses on artisans in their element, starting with Ili-Likha Artist Village, a food and art hub founded by film director “Kidlat Tahimik”, followed by a visit to the Easter Weaving Room, which is the perfect place to observe expert weavers creating beautiful textiles with traditional hand looming techniques. Afterward, you’ll proceed to Tam-awan Village, an open-air museum and artist colony that features a reconstructed Cordillera village, which also serves as a venue for exhibits and art workshops. The last two stops include the BenCab museum.
