Reception of Venus Parkview Hotel Stay

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival + Check-in

Upon your arrival in Baguio, proceed to your assigned hotel and check-in with the receptionist at the lobby of Venus Parkview Hotel, or the Forest Lodge Baguio if you opted for the hotel upgrade. Settle into your room and get some rest in preparation for your 8-hour tour the following day.

Day 2 - Day 2: Cultural & Heritage Tour

Wake up to the cold mountain climate of Baguio and enjoy your breakfast, which is part of your tour package. After your meal, get ready for an 8-hour tour starting with Camp John Hay, a former U.S. military base that is now a tourist attraction and watershed reservation. Next on your tour is The Mansion House, the official summer residence of Presidents of the Philippines since the Commonwealth period. Right across is Wright Park, a famous spot that features a man-made rectangular pond called the Pool of Pines, along with leafy walkways and horses for rent. You’ll then proceed to Good Shepherd Convent for some souvenir products like ube jam and strawberry preserves, followed by a visit to the Baguio Botanical Garden, otherwise known as Igorot Village, a place teeming with lush greenery amidst native huts reminiscent of beautiful Cordillera architecture. Afterward, it’s time to go jewelry shopping at the Silver Craft shop before heading off to Baguio Cathedral, a Catholic church accessible on foot from Session Road through a 104 stone staircase. The final leg of your tour ends with two more sites: There are two more sites to get to before calling it a day: an abandoned structure sitting on top of Dominican Hill called The Diplomat Hotel, and a Jesuit sanctuary known as the Mirador Retreat House.

Day 3 - Day 3: Arts & Museum Tour

Breathe in the cool mountain air and proceed to the hotel restaurant for your complimentary breakfast. Prepare for another jam-packed itinerary, beginning with a trip to the centuries-old Casa Vallejo, the oldest hotel in the city that was established in 1909. You’ll then proceed to the Baguio Museum to see cultural artifacts and dioramas of Ifugao traditional homes. Get a better understanding of the local culture at the Museo Cordillera, an ethnographic museum that aims to preserve the indigenous heritage of people from the Cordillera Administrative Region. Continue your tour at Ili-Likha Artist Village, a food and art hub founded by film director “Kidlat Tahimik”. Next, you will go to the Easter Weaving Room to observe weavers in action as they create hand-loomed items utilizing traditional weaving techniques. Hand-crafted products like rugs, clothing, and accessories are available for sale at the adjacent shop. Afterward, you’ll proceed to Tam-awan Village, an open-air museum and artist colony with a reconstructed Cordillera village that also serves as a venue for exhibits or art workshops. Next, it’s time to go to the BenCab Museum to see the national artist’s permanent painting collection, followed by a visit to Ifugao Woodcarvers Village for locally made wooden carvings.

Booking Information - Upon booking, please expect an email from Guide to the Philippines for the voucher, reminder, and next steps.

Hotel - Standard check-in time is 1400H and check out time is at 1100H. Requests for early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and fees. Refundable incidental deposit is required upon check-in. Guest/s are required to present a valid credit card guarantee or cash deposit. Bookings for one person will be arranged in single rooms, and bookings for two or more people will share a twin/double, or triple room(s). Children will be arranged in the same room with their parents. If additional room(s) is needed and for special requests, additional costs will incur. Child rate includes existing bed sharing arrangements with adults and complimentary tour/s (if any). Maximum of 2 children per room. Child rate is exclusive of daily breakfast and to be paid directly to the hotel.

Complimentary Tours and Activities (if any) - Make sure to have the electronic copy of your confirmed tour voucher ready. On the day of the tour, your assigned Tour Guide will meet you at the designated meeting place. For those who have availed complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off, your Tour Guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at least thirty (30) minutes prior to start of the tour or activity. Strictly no latecomers or tour reservation might be forfeited. During the tour, please be reminded to dress appropriately depending on the nature of your tour.

All guests are expected to do their share in ensuring their safety and security as well as that of their personal belongings. Guide to the Philippines and Tour Operators are not liable for the loss or damage to any personal belongings left unattended during the tour.

Peak Season Bookings - All bookings passing through December 24 and 31 are required to avail of the mandatory Christmas and New Year's Eve Dinner. Prepayment is required and can be paid in advance through Guide to the Philippines or direct to the hotel on the day of check-in.
