Day 1
View of Intramuros in Manila

Day 1 - Day 1: Intramuros Tour

You will take a flight to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Here, you will meet your guide, who will take you to your hotel in Manila or along Roxas Boulevard. After checking in, you will begin your tour in the walled city of Intramuros. Intramuros dates back to the 16th century when the Spanish conquered Manila. The city was rebuilt, alongside the establishment of the walls, after Chinese pirates attacked. One of the historical structures here is Fort Santiago, a defensive fortress whose dungeons are open for the public to visit. Just a short walk from the fort is Plaza Roma. This public square is where multiple events, including bullfighting, were held during the Spanish colonial days. You will next drop by the Bahay Tsinoy, a museum where you will learn about the important role of the ethnic Chinese in Philippine history. The following stop is another museum, called Casa Manila. Inside the building, you will find Spanish colonial furniture and art. Your guide will then lead you to San Diego Gardens, which lies next to Baluarte De San Diego. Your Intramuros tour concludes with a visit to two historical and religious structures: San Agustin Church and Museum and Manila Cathedral.

Day 2 - Day 2: Bohol Countryside Tour

On the second day, you will check out of your Manila hotel and ride a van that will take you to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. You will travel from there to Panglao International Airport via plane. On this day, your guide will drive you around the stunning countryside of Bohol. Your first stop will be the Corella Tarsier Sanctuary. This forest patch provides a home to tarsiers. While you can take photos of them, make sure that the camera flash is off as these small primates have sensitive eyes. Next, you’ll traverse the Loboc River, one of the Philippines’ cleanest and safest rivers, aboard a floating restaurant. This Loboc River Cruise offers a buffet lunch of Pinoy dishes and presentations of Filipino songs and dances. Once you return to the shore, your guide will bring you to Baclayon Church. Jesuit priests constructed this church back in 1595; thus, it is considered the second oldest stone church in the country. You will also visit the Butterfly Conservatory to marvel at colorful butterflies of varied species. Then, you’ll drop by the man-made Bilar Forest before heading to the world-renowned Chocolate Hills. You will be on your way to your Dumaguete hotel afterward.

Day 3
Pamilacan Island in Bohol

Day 3 - Day 3: Pamilacan Island Tour

On Day 3, you will be sailing off the coast of mainland Bohol to see the magnificent Pamilacan Island. Your van will pick you up at your Dumaguete accommodation and take you to the town of Baclayon, where you’ll switch from your van to a boat. You will then travel to the island, which houses whale sharks and dolphins you might spot along the way. While roughly 2,000 people occupy Pamilacan Island, the place still has unspoiled areas boasting natural beauty. It has a stretch of white-sand beach where you are free to sunbathe and play. Surrounding the island are clear blue waters that are safe to swim in. Snorkeling is also possible here as various marine animals swim around the island, including tropical fishes and sea turtles. Bucket sponges and soft and hard corals lie underwater, as well. For some adrenaline rush, you can proceed to the diving spots. On the northeast side of Pamilacan Island is a 200-year-old fort that you can also visit. The Spaniards used this fort as a watch station for invaders, such as pirates. By the end of the day, you’ll return to the mainland and spend the night at your Panglao hotel.
