Daily itinerary
Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival in Manila + Check-in
Your driver will meet you at the Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, signaling the start of your Philippine itinerary. Once you have settled in the vehicle, you will be transported to your comfort-level hotel in Manila. After checking in, you have the rest of your day to explore the city on your own. If you want a guided experience, you can book a morning or night walking tour of the walled city of Intramuros.
The morning tour will bring you to sites including Plaza de Armas, the Rajah Sulayman Theater, and the Manila Cathedral. Other notable stops in this tour include Fort Santiago, a Spanish citadel within Intramuros that was built in 1571, and Casa Manila, a house slash museum that lets you peek into the life of Filipinos during the Spanish era with its colonial-era furnishings.
The night tour will also bring you to Fort Santiago and Casa Manila, but it will also make stops at the Philippine Military Academy and the Memorare-Manila 1945, which honors the unarmed civilians that were killed during the Battle of Manila. Take note that the night tour is a bit darker compared to the morning tour, as it will go into detail about the atrocities committed during the war.
Day 2 - Day 2: Arrival in Sagada + Check-in
Have your complimentary breakfast, and then check out of your hotel. When you are ready, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Sagada in the Mountain Province. The travel time can take at least eight hours, so you can use this time to rest.
After arriving in Sagada, you will head straight to your comfort-level accommodations. Check-in and rest, as you will need it for your spelunking tour the next day.
Day 3 - Day 3: Sagada Cave Connection + Optional PM Tour: Paytokan Walk
Your first complimentary tour will take place in Sagada. You will explore the caves of South Central Sagada, beginning with the Lumiang Burial Cave, where you will pass by the old coffins before making your way through several chambers and exiting through the Sumaguing Cave. Along the way, you will pass by limestone formations and natural pools.
After your cave tour, you still have time to go on an add-on afternoon Paytokan Walk, which will take place in Central Sagada. On this tour, you will visit heritage sites, a coffee farm, a historic church, and the famous Hanging Coffins of Sagada. You will also enjoy mountain valley views, flowing rivers, and a natural swimming pool.
Day 4 - Day 4: Choose Your Tour
You can choose which tour you want to go on for day 4. Your first option is a trek to Bomod-ok Falls in Northern Sagada, and the second is a trip to the Marlboro and Blue Soil Hills in Eastern Sagada.
Should you choose to explore the Bomod-ok Falls, you will be treated to mountain range and river valley views and a walk through rice fields and local villages before ending in Bomod-ok Falls, a stunning and tall cascade surrounded by lush greenery.
If you choose to go on a tour of the Marlboro and Blue Soil Hills, you will pass by pine-covered trails, experience forest bathing, and see blue hills. If you want to see a sea of clouds at sunrise, make sure to wake up before dawn.
Day 5 - Day 5: Arrival in Banaue + Check-in
Enjoy your last breakfast in Banaue, pack your belongings, and check out of your accommodations. Your driver will pick you up when you are ready. From Sagada, you will head south toward the town of Banaue, which is famous for its stunning rice terraces. You can explore them the next day. For today, after your arrival in the municipality, you will check in to your accommodations. Settle in and rest, as you will be needing your energy for your hike to the two rice terraces on day 6.
Day 6 - Day 6: Hike to Bangaan and Batad Rice Terraces
Today, you will hike to two rice terraces, Bangaan and Batad Rice Terraces. Both rice terraces are located in Banaue and are included in the five rice terraces in the Cordilleras that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The most popular amphitheater-like rice terraces are located in the village of Batad. The Batad Banaue Viewpoint can be reached by a 30-minute hike. The Bangaan Village is a peaceful community that is made up of less than 30 families. There, you will find traditional houses with livestock occupying the ground floor.
Day 7 - Day 7: Arrival in Baguio + Check-in + Optional Tour: Baguio City Top Attractions Private Day Tour with Transfers
Day 7 is your last full day on this tour of the Philippines, and from Banaue, you will be making your way to Baguio, the City of Pines. This city is among the favorite destinations of locals, especially during summer, because of its cool climate. Check in to your comfort-level accommodations, and explore the city on your own or via an add-on guided tour.
A lot of attractions can be found here, and you can visit some of them when you go on a tour of its top tourist sites. These include The Mansion, a place where the President of the Philippines lodges while staying in the city; Camp John Hay, which is a former military base of the United States armed forces; Mines View Park, where you can enjoy scenic mountain views; Wright Park, which features towering pine trees and horseback riding facilities; and the Botanical Garden, a quiet space with lots of fauna and flora.
Day 8 - Day 8: Checkout + Departure
Take advantage of the complimentary breakfast in the morning before you check out of your accommodations in Baguio. If you still have time, visit the nearby local shops and purchase souvenirs before you are picked up by your designated driver and brought back to Manila, marking the end of your multi-day tour.
