You will arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and your van will take you to your comfort-level hotel in Manila. After checking in to your hotel, feel free to just relax and rest before your flight to the Visayas tomorrow. If you are still up for some exploring, you can choose to add an optional tour of the historic walled city of Intramuros to your Philippine itinerary.
You can either go on a morning or a night walking tour. The morning walking tour will take you to places including Fort Santiago, a Spanish citadel built in 1571, and Casa Manila, a museum that lets you see what it was like to live during the Spanish era. It will also bring you to Plaza de Armas, the Rajah Sulayman Theater, Palacio Del Governador General, Ayuntamiento de Manila, and the Manila Cathedral.
While the night tour will also stop at Fort Santiago and Casa Manila, it is a much darker tour that details the atrocities that happened during the war. If you choose this tour, you will also see the Philippine Military Academy, as well as the Memorare-Manila 1945, which commemorates the unarmed civilians who became casualties of the Battle of Manila.
Day 2 - Day 2: Arrival in Dumaguete + Check-in
