Located in Bagac City, Ilocos Norte, Batac Riverside Empanadaan is a famous tourist spot where you can sample arguably some of the best empanadas in the Philippines. There are several stalls in the Empanadaan, so you can try different kinds on your visit.

Ilocos Empanadas are famous for their distinctive orange color. The fillings can be customized, but the usual staples are Batac longganisa, vegetables, and one egg. These empanadas are also very affordable, and while they may seem small, they can be very filling.

Apart from empanada, you can also try other delicacies here, including longganisa, miki, and grilled meats. There are also shops here that sell souvenirs and other items.

Since it is a popular dining spot for both locals and tourists, expect lines at the food stalls. If you want to visit when there are shorter lines, avoid times close to dinner, as the area is usually at its busiest at around 6 PM.
