The Destileria Limtuaco Museum is the oldest existing distillery in the Philippines. This musuem was originally constructed in 1982 as a private space for the Limtuaco family to preserve their company's history. Years later, the family decided to open its doors to the public. Since it opened in 2018, it has become one of the most iconic spots inside the Walled City of Intramuros.
The Destileria Limtuaco Museum is divided into a number of general groups, which
include a small distillery that showcases the process and production of whiskeys and
other liquors; a wide collection of liquors which were originally acquired during the
Spanish colonization; a number of items from the founders; and a gift shop. There is also an
interactive area where old promotional commercials, calendars and items are displayed,
one example includes female models wearing red bikinis while riding a white horse, a representation of the company's infamous White Castle Whisky. Guests can also sample some of the brand's popular products during a short liquor tasting activity here.
