Legazpi's 156-meter high Ligon Hill has always been one of the city's most well-known landmarks. There is a lighthouse at the top. Today, it is one of the most popular places in the city for tourists, adventurers, and even people who like to stay in shape. The new Lignon Hill Natural Park is supposed to be the best place to visit in the city. It has a lot to see and do for people of all ages and backgrounds. People who want to see the city of Legazpi, the Daraga River, the Albay Gulf, and the Mayon Volcano can go to the view deck. Some restaurants and shops also serve visitors.
How to get there
If you’re in Legazpi already, ride a jeepney with the Legazpi-Daraga loop 1 route. Tell the driver to drop you off at the nature park.
Best time to visit
The park is open from 5 AM to 9 PM. Early in the morning, just before sunrise, is when it is best to climb the hill. Visitors can see the sunrise over the Albay Gulf and shine its golden rays down on the city below. It is also recommended to see Mayon during sunset and have evening walks up the hill. You can see lights from below as well as feel the cool breeze coming from the ocean.
Entrance fee
There is a minimum entrance fee to the nature park.
