Information about Mainit Hot Spring
Mainit Hot Spring
In the province of Compostela Valley's town of Maco lies the hot spring known as the Mainit Sulfuric Hot Spring, which is situated in the town's hilly and geothermally active interior. Minerals are deposited on the surface of the rocky mountainside, where the warm water from the spring spills over to form these stunning yellow stalactites.
Since the beginning of time, the locals have called the location Bilawa, which in their original dialect literally translates to "waterfall." Locals praise the therapeutic and natural health effects of the hot waters of Bilawa Mainit Hot Waterfalls. The hot waterfalls' sulfuric water is said to be useful for promoting blood circulation, lowering stress levels, and easing cramps and soreness in the muscles.
