Mango Adventure X-treme Palawan or simply MAX Palawan offers thrilling adventure to those who want to have some wild outdoor experience while exploring Puerto Princesa City in Palawan. It is located at Km. 25, Bacungan, Puerto Princesa, roughly 40 minutes from the province’s capital.
All-terrain vehicle (ATV) or quad biking is a fun thing to do while in Puerto Princesa City. MAX Palawan is one the very few that offers four-wheeled off road quads and buggies in the island province.
Adventure seekers are in for a thrilling ATV ride through MAX Palawan’s 300-hectare mango plantation. The off-roaders’ playground has single tracks, open trails and lush green landscape.
Guests can choose from MAX Palawan’s activities, which include X-treme Trail Ride that lasts for two to three hours or the two-hour Adventure Trail Ride. They can also opt to do the Experience Trail Ride, which lasts for about 45 minutes.
Before getting wet and dirty in the trail, tourists need to undergo a brief orientation. Riders must be at least five feet tall to control the ATVs and buggies and children are only allowed as passengers.
All ATV rides are supervised by experienced and trained trail guides for the safety and enjoyment of tourists.
The track is twisting, rocky and muddy. ATV riders will be going over dirt trails uphill, rolling grasslands downhill and deep jungles until they reach Speaker’s Point. Speaker’s Point offers a 360-view of nature and the islands of Honda Bay.
ATV rides at MAX Palawan are best experienced during rainy or wet season as splashes of puddles are part of the fun. The rainy season in the island province is from June to October.
After the off road adventure, tourists can take a dip in the cool and clear Buaya River. Aside from swimming, visitors can also do kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.
MAX Palawan also offers snacks and boodle fight lunch for its guests.

After the fun off road adventure at Max Palawan, tourists can also discover other nearby sites in the laidback Puerto Princesa City. One of the nearest is the Honda Bay, which boasts of stunning islands with white sand beaches.
