McKinley Hill in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City is a township that was patterned after some of the cities of Italy and Spain. You'll see structures inspired by famous European landmarks, including the courtyards of Florence. Its 50 hectares are home to upscale residences, corporate offices, restaurants, cafés, shops, and leisure centers. It is branded as the melting pot of the different cities in Metro Manila, providing a healthy mixture of diversity.
One of the most iconic spots in McKinley Hill is the Venice Grand Canal, which showcases a man-made canal inspired by the canals of Venice. Here you can go on gondola rides with a boatman to serenade you. McKinley Hill is also where the Philippines' first world-class football field is located, The McKinley Hill Stadium.
It is also home to several embassies, including that of Korea, Great Britain, and the United Arab Emirates. You'll also see several schools here, like the Enderun Colleges, the Chinese International School, and the Meridian International College.
Best time to visit
You'll find something to do in McKinley Hill, whatever time of year. But if you want to explore its outdoors, it's best to avoid the months of March and April, which is usually the hottest. If you are not a fan of crowds, also avoid the month of December, when locals go out in droves to shop and celebrate the Christmas season.
