Merloquet Falls

Located near Zamboanga, Merloquet Falls is famous for its white cascades that blanket the rock face behind it. It’s a stunning tourist attraction that looks amazing in photos but even more beautiful in person. The falls actually has two levels, but the more majestic one and where you’ll find more tourists is the lower tier. The water cascades down to a shallow pool where you can wade in. You can also sit on the stairs-like rockface so you can feel the gentle flow of the water.

In the past, it was difficult to get to Merloquet Falls, but the path to it has been paved, and travelers need to go down over 300 steps to reach the cascade. 

Tickets and entry

There is a minimal entrance fee you need to pay before going to the falls. Also note that there is a parking fee for both motorcycles and cars.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit is is the months of August and September, just before the dry months start. While it can still be rainy during these months, visiting at this time gives you the chance to see the cascades at their fullest.
