Miniloc Island
Miniloc Island is one of the most interesting island in the Philippines. The key attractions of this island are the Big Lagoon, the Small Lagoon and the Secret Lagoon, three of the most photographed sights in all of Palawan.
The Big Lagoon is accessed by an exceedingly shallow channel. Within, enclosed by jungle-clad karst walls, there is an overflowing natural swimming pool.
One needs to swim through a break in a rock wall or paddle through a kayak at low tide to reach Small Lagoon. Within, there's a beautiful secret sanctuary complete with a tiny cave you can discover. You must scramble or dive over, depending on the tide, to enter the small Secret Lagoon.
How to get there
Miniloc Island Resort can be reached on a charter flight from Manila to El Nido (LIO) airport. Transfers are available from El Nido Airport, which is a 40-minute boat trip to the beach.
Best time to visit
It is an all-year round destination but it’s best visited during the warm reason in El Nido, from November to May.
