Information about Palacio del Gobernador
Palacio del Gobernador
The Palacio del Gobernador is a government building in Intramuros, Manila, across Plaza de Roma. Currently, the building houses the Intramuros Administration, the National Capital Region Office of the Home Development Mutual Fun, and the Commission on Elections. It is where the Bureau of the Treasury was located until it was moved to the Ayuntamiento de Manila across Plaza de Roma.
The new structure stands on the site of the former Governor-house General's during the Spanish Colonial Period, which was damaged by an earthquake in1863. The Governor-official General's residence was then the MalacañangPalace.
The facade of the building was used in a scene set in Rio de Janeiro during a Brazilian Carnaval parade in the Chuck Norris film Delta Force 2: The Colombian Link.
