Information about Popolkan Island
Popolkan Island
Located in the pristine waters of El Nido, Popolkan Island features tall limestone cliffs peppered with green plants and surrounded by clear turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The island is usually part of an El Nido Island-Hopping Tour B (also known as the Caves and Coves Island Hopping Tour), which typically includes stops at Cudugnon Cave, Cathedral Cave, Snake Island, and Pinagbuyutan Island.
While El Nido Island-Hopping Tour B is a popular tour, Popolkan Island is not usually crowded with boats and tourists, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful experience. During a visit here, your boat will be anchored near the limestone cliffs. The water is so clear that you can see the corals and other marine life from your boat, but of course, the best way to see them up close is through snorkeling.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit Popolkan Island is during the dry months, which are usually from January to April. Rains usually start around May or June, but the weather here can still be pleasant if there are no storms.
