Information about Sangab Caves

Sangab Caves

Located in the municipality of Tanay in the province of Rizal, Sangab Caves is an underground cave where cold water flows. The trek to the caves is relatively easy and will only take 30 minutes. After the short hike, visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

Those who want to explore Sangab Caves may do so, but they would have to wade in the cave’s waters and bring flashlights as the inside of the cave is dark. While inside, visitors will be able to see stalactites and other rock formations. 

Best time to visit

The waters in and outside the cave can be really cold, so it’s best to visit during the dry and warm months of March to May. This will also ensure that the water level inside the cave is not too high so you can safely explore the cavern.
