Tandag Grotto

The Tandag Grotto, also known as the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Bongtud, is situated at the peak of a mountain with a 360-degree view of the city. It is a serene setting that is ideal for meditation. It offers a good climb, walk, views, and seascape all around. From the top, you can see the pier and the emerald-green water on one side. The fishermen's boats are then visible on the opposite side, arranged like bright paraphernalias. When viewed from a distance, both are incredibly appealing.

How to get there

From Tagum City in Davao, ride a jeepney to Ecoland Terminal. Once there, ride a bus going to Tandag City. Tell the driver to drop you off near the entrance of the Lourdes Grotto.

Best time to visit

It is an all-year-round destination so it is open to the public daily.
