Sail across the blue waters of Negros Oriental and see the beauty it offers beyond the mainland. Taking you from Dumaguete City to the stunning Manjuyod Sandbar and the home of the dolphins, this full-day private water adventure best appeals to all dolphin enthusiasts and sandbar lovers traveling the region.

The tour starts with a departure from your hotel in Dumaguete City to the town of Manjuyod, where the fun awaits you. Once you reach the site, you will be transferred to a boat that will take you to the Tañon Strait to see the dolphins. Feel free to take pictures and record your encounter as you watch them jump and do acrobatic spins in the air. There are different species of dolphin dominating the area, such as the Pan-Tropical Spotted Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Long Snouted Spinner Dolphins, and Fraiser. It is best to visit them in the morning as the water is calmer.

Afterward, you will then be taken to Manjuyod Sandbar, a stretch of powdery white sand that extends to as far as seven kilometers. There are rental cottages here that dot the area, looking similar to the Maldives and thus earning the nickname “The Maldives of the Philippines.”  You will be given enough time to do whatever you want on the beach; be it wade in the water, go for a swim, lie down on the sandbar, or just simply enjoy the heat.

However, Manjuyod is not the best site to snorkel as there are sea lice in the area. Although harmless, they can still give bitter stings. Nonetheless, you can always take advantage of the crystal clear water and gaze at the marine creatures underwater. Feel free to rent a cottage, as well, as you enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. You can best enjoy the sandbar during low tide, during which it is most visible.

Jump aboard a private boat to catch sight of the magnificent dolphins and explore the Manjuyod Sandbar on this day trip from Dumaguete City.  Check availability by choosing a date.
