Just a few hours away from Dumaguete City, Apo Island is best known for its diverse marine conservation efforts, making this a great trip for nature-lovers looking for a sustainable eco-adventure. This tour includes land and boat transfers, the service of a guide, a set lunch, and free hotel pick-up and drop-off from Dumaguete City.
The tour will begin when your guide picks you up from your accommodation in Dumaguete at 7:30 AM. You will then be taken to Malatapay or Dauin Port to board your boat. Once everyone is safely onboard, you will head to Apo Island. If your trip falls between November and May, expect a bumpy sea ride to the island.
Apo Island, a 74-hectare volcanic island off Dauin, is a top diving and snorkeling destination in the Philippines. It is a pristine marine sanctuary home to 600 species of fish and over 400 species of corals. Your guide will brief you on the safety regulations before you can go snorkeling. To preserve the area's beauty and the animals' health here, please be a responsible traveler and follow the guidelines.
After the briefing, the boatman will take you to Turtle Point, where you can swim with sea turtles and take pictures of them. Please take note that touching and feeding them are not allowed. After snorkeling, you will be treated to a delicious lunch at Liberty's Resort.
After lunch, you may go back into the water, take a short trek along the Habagat Eco-Trail, or stroll through the island village. The trek will lead you to a scenic lookout point where you can get a fantastic view of the island, while the village stroll allows you to talk to locals and learn more about their culture. Afterward, your guide will take you back to Malatapay Port or Dauin and drop you off at your accommodation.
