You will be trained to become better problem-solvers and critical thinkers underwater, thus making you a better dive buddy that others can rely on when needed.
The Rescue Diver course provides you an increased awareness not only for your own sake but for your entire group. Aside from minding your own buoyancy, air, and other minor challenges, as a certified rescue diver, you will have a deeper understanding of the psychology of rescue.
The PADI Rescue Diver course has classroom sessions for knowledge development and water sessions for rescue exercises. During the course, you will be trained to use various techniques in order to manage minor and major dive emergencies. The knowledge and skills learned during the classroom sessions will be put into practice during rescue scenarios, including self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, and rescuing unresponsive divers. To make sure you know what to do in these situations, you will participate in 10 diving scenarios over three days.
