Description

Learn about the fascinating stories entangled in Cebu City's colorful history through this half-day tour. This tour will bring you to various historical sites in the area, making it a great fit for history buffs. It is also inclusive of entrance fees to each attraction, hotel pick-up and drop-off within select areas, transfers, the service of a driver-guide, and complimentary bottled water.

A tour vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation if you are staying within Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, or Cebu City. From your hotel, you will make your way to your first stop, Fort San Pedro in Plaza Independencia. This fort features a museum that exhibits inheritances of the Spanish government and artifacts, most of which are paintings, sculptures, and documents.

A few minutes away from the area is your second stop, the Basilica Minore Del Santo Niño. It is the Philippines' oldest Roman Catholic Church, where you will find the statue of the Santo Niño de Cebu that depicts the child Jesus. You will next head to the Yap Sandiego Ancestral House. Here, you will see lots of antique pieces, furniture, and ancient artworks.

From the ancestral house, you will be taken to the Heritage of Cebu Monument, where you will see figures that represent the important events in the city's history. Then, your guide will take you to the Taoist Temple. Here, you can find a chapel, a library, a wishing well, and a souvenir shop, plus a replica of the Great Wall of China.

You will travel to the site where Magellan's Cross is located. You will enter an octagonal kiosk to see the wooden cross. Finally, you will end your excursion with a visit to Museo Sugbo. This old coral-stone structure houses a wide array of artifacts that depict the rich history of Cebu province, with each room portraying a specific period in time.

See all of these and know their story on this half-day historical tour around Cebu City. Check availability by choosing a date.
