Spend a day swimming with the whale sharks and exploring a waterfall in southern Cebu when you book this day tour. This tour is inclusive of a whale shark encounter in Oslob and a trip to the famous Kawasan Falls in Badian. Included in the package are transfers from Cebu City, lunch, and the service of a guide.

You will be first picked up from your Cebu City or Mactan hotel early in the morning and be taken to Barangay Tan-awan in Oslob for the whale shark watching activity. Oslob is about three hours away from the city. You will be served snacks when you arrive at the site. You will then be given a short briefing about whale shark watching before you proceed with your first adventure for the day.

When the orientation is done, you will hop on small paddleboats that will take you where you can observe the whale sharks. You have a choice to either stay in the boat and see the gentle giants from a convenient distance or jump in the water with your snorkeling gear to get a better view of the enormous fish species.

Whale sharks are known as “tuki” in the local dialect or “butanding” in Filipino. They are harmless filter feeders that eat small organisms called plankton (such as the krill local fishermen give to them) and other small marine animals like small squid and fish. And even though they can grow so large, they don’t attack humans.

After swimming with or viewing the whale sharks, you will travel to Badian, a third-class municipality about an hour and a half away from Oslob, for your next adventure. Tucked in the village of Matutinao is a majestic waterfall that’s waiting for you.

Kawasan Falls boasts of clean, turquoise-colored waters. Its water was once declared as one of the cleanest inland bodies of water in the Philippines. When you get to the area, you can swim in the natural pool at the bottom of the falls.  You can also explore Kawasan Falls’ second and third levels for added fun.

The second level can be accessed through a set of stairs. It has a more private swimming area compared to the first level. The third level requires more energy to climb. This is where the “kabukalan” or the water source of the falls is found.

Lunch will be served in the area, and you can eat your meal with the waterfall and the surrounding lush vegetation as your view.

Your tour ends as you are dropped off at your Cebu or Mactan hotel. Prepare your swimming gear and camera for a day of visiting two of the most sought-after tourist spots in Cebu in this day tour. Check availability by choosing a date.
