Visit Iloilo City's historic and heritage sites in this half-day city tour. This is perfect for those wanting to get a deeper insight into the city's heritage and culture. Hotel pick-up and drop-off is already included in this day tour.
Your day begins when your driver picks you up at your hotel or resort in Iloilo City. You'll make your way to Jaro and pass by the Iloilo Business Park, a business district in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Your first stop in Jaro is Casa Mariquit. At over 200 years old, it is the oldest heritage house in Iloilo. Afterward, you'll head to the Jaro Cathedral, a Baroque cathedral home to the Lady of the Candles, an over 400-year-old image. It is also the first cathedral in the whole of Panay Island. You'll then have a running tour of Millionaire's Row, still in Jaro. This strip of grand mansions is believed to be the first Millionaire's Row in the country.
You'll then head to General Luna, where your first stop is Casa Real, which was once the old capitol building of Iloilo during the American period. You'll also visit Fort San Pedro (which was built to protect the city from invaders), Muelle Loney (Iloilo's river wharf), and General Luna street, one of Iloilo's most beautiful and popular streets.
Your next stops can be found in the district of Molo. Molo Mansion, a house built in the 1920s, is now a museum that features the work of Ilonggo artists. Molo Church, on the other hand, is famous for the red spires on its bell towers.
Before you are dropped off at your hotel or resort in Iloilo City, you'll get the chance to explore Iloilo's Esplanade, as well as buy snacks and souvenirs at the Biscocho Haus.
