Discover the historical and cultural sites of Iloilo City in this day tour that will leave you rich in stories to tell when you return home. If you want to get an in-depth understanding of Iloilo City's history, this combination tour is perfect for you.

Your driver will first pick you up at your hotel in Iloilo City and will take you to San Joaquin Church, a Roman Catholic Church built in 1869. It separates itself from different houses of worship in view of its facade portraying the Spanish triumph over the Moroccan powers amid the Battle of Tetuan.

Close by is the San Joaquin Cemetery or the Campo Santo, one of the best-preserved cemetery that sits on a hill overlooking the sea. Following that is the Garin Farm of San Joaquin where you can experience a unique spiritual journey.

You'll ride the van again for the rolling tour. You'll pass through the Millionaire's Row of Jaro where you will see the mansions of the old rich families of Iloilo. You'll also pass through Jaro Cathedral Church or the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary. This is considered as an all-male church because of the accumulated collection of male saints inside, with the exception of the statue of Nuestra Senora de Candelaria (Lady of Candles) displayed on a glass sanctum infront of the church.

You will next be taken to Casa Mariquit, a 216-year-old Spanish ancestral house. After that, you'll be taken to Biscocho Haus for a quick souvenir shop, a relaxing stroll at Esplanade, then you'll try barquillo-making at the Deocampos.

Your next stop is  Calle Real, named after national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. This historic street is home to some of Iloilo's significant structures. After that, you'll visit another famous boulevard in Iloilo, General Luna Street.

After a hearty lunch in some of the best restaurants in Iloilo, you will be taken to Mama's Kitchen and Sinamay House famous for their cookies that you can buy as pasalubong.

Next, you will be taken to the Guimbal Church, built in 1774 by Father Campos. Its steeple is four stories high and was turned into a watchtower during the Spanish occupation to guard against the Moro pirates. Then there's Taytay Boni, a stone extension built in 1854 initially intended to be utilized by horse-drawn carriages.

Next you will visit a Latin American-style church, the Tigbauan Church. The congregation was developed in 1575 but was crushed amid a seismic tremor in 1948. After that, your tour will continue to Miag-ao Church or the Church of Saint Thomas of Villanova. Finished in 1797, the congregation is renowned for its masterful sculptural relief carved on its facade.

The visit will finish at Camiña Balay Nga Bato, a 150-year-old stone house in Molo transformed into a café that serves Iloilo's best treasure dishes. It is the ideal spot to relax while still learning about the history of Iloilo told by the fourth generation of the Camiña family. Remember to taste the rich and thick Pancit Molo with the famous Molo dumpling.
