8-Day Philippines Waray Language Intermediate Level Online Class

Brush up on your Waray language with the help of this eight-session intermediate-level online course. These classes are for those who already understand basic conversational Waray but want a better understanding of the language. Each session is an hour long and will be taught by an expert on the language. 

The schedule of your course is flexible. You can spread it out and have one class a week or take one class once a day for eight days in a row. Once you have finalized your schedule, your instructor will send you a link to a Zoom meeting, which will serve as the host for all of your classes. Remember to give your instructor advance notice if you need to reschedule a class.

Your first class will be a review of basic Waray. This is to ensure that you have the building blocks of the language before proceeding to more complicated lessons. Next, your second class will teach you how to set up meetings, appointments, or casual lunch or dinner dates with friends and family. Your third session will teach you commonly used adjectives so you can use them in daily conversations. To ensure that you understood the previous classes, your fourth one will be a roleplaying activity where you can practice conversing with your instructor in Waray.

You will continue with your fifth class, which will tackle words, phrases, and sentences to use when visiting someone’s home. Your sixth session will teach you words to describe how you feel without exaggerating, while class number seven will focus on terms and phrases that will allow you to buy gifts for yourself and your loved ones. Finally, your last class will be another roleplaying session where you can practice everything you learned in previous classes.
