You will visit Kalibo Pastrana Park next. Located in the heart of Kalibo, it is a site preserved for the town’s cultural history. It is where the Ati-Atihan festivities takes place in mid-January. Afterwards, proceed to St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Also known as the Kalibo Cathedral, it stands as the oldest edifice of worship in Aklan.

You’ll proceed to Museo it Akean next, which is a nicely restored building where you can learn about the traditions and culture of the province. It serves as the repository of the town’s heritage. You’ll also visit the Pina weaving site, which is one of the oldest industry in the province of Aklan. Learn about the process of pina weaving before taking your sumptuous lunch.

Afterwards, you’ll proceed to Bakhawan Eco-Park, a two-hundred twenty hectare mangrove forest in Kalibo. Learn about the mangrove restoration project while enjoying the cool breeze before you go to Sampaguita Garden. Take photos of the cute angel figurines while on the pathway to the area where nativity scenes are commemorated through animal dioramas. Catch a glimpse of the Victorian-styled house inside the area before visiting the Jaime Cardinal Sin Monument.
